  1. We could tie it into movie titles. Today should have been.... “gone in 60 seconds” .
  2. If this had moved in now we would have made something out of it. .
  3. “Otherwise, the latest water vapor imagery indicates a speed max digging across the Corn Belt, with a baroclinic leaf structure extending from the Arklatx through the Mid-South. Thus, cyclogenesis is well underway in the vicinity of the western Gulf Coast, and resultant increase in frontogenesis and QG forcing will allow the precip shield. to continue progressing northeast across the CWA.” .
  4. Looping RadarScope in Nashville it seems the flow has turned more NNE than east like it was earlier. The back edge line has slowed way down or even stalled its east progression .
  5. I’m at NorthWest Middle School and it’s mixing in good now. .
  6. Ok so I’m still in NW of Knoxville and I’ve definitely got a 50/50 mix. The ceiling has really lowered the last 15 min. .
  7. 12z NAM came in better for Knoxville and the mountain counties especially Blount and Sevier. .
  8. I’m NW of Knoxville at 975’ feet and it’s mixing rain/sleet,snow .
  9. I’m worried it’s way south. Unless there’s more development or it slides up west of the mountains, this is looking like cold sprinkles. .
  10. 12z NAM coming in better than 6z. Maybe it’s picking up on a quicker transition? .
  11. It’s definitely rate induced cooling. Got a little break and the temps went up .6 degrees .
  12. That’s right. Have you had any mountain wave issues this year? I noticed the last time I went to Gatlinburg that there’s a lot of tree damage on the Spur and on the Gatlinburg bypass. .
  13. Doesn’t matter much at this point but from the 00z to the 06z the NAM basically doubled its snow output on a line from Knoxville to Huntsville. .
  14. Where’s your location Jay? I cannot remember. Glad to see you posting again. .
  15. Transition has got to be 1800’ ish at the most. In to work I crossed Black Oak Ridge which is 1400’ and it was at least 50R/50S. My temp gauge on my Jeep I figure is +1.5’ and I was at 36 coming over the ridge. .
