    Legit question: why do the models constantly show so much digital snow 5-6 days from an event, only to lose most/all of it 2-3 days from onset? It never seems to go the other way (rain to snow) A cold bias on the various models? It is uncanny how often the rug is pulled for snow lovers. .

    Well that GFS run sucked! Throwing the towel in on this weekend. Hopefully we can catch some cold temps with one of the other waves the next few weeks. .

    Snowstorm followed by behemoth rainstorm three days later. Id imagine flooding would be a significant concern. .

    Is there a logical explanation as to why the models always show mid-atlantic snow storms 5-7 days out, but then lose the snow 3 days before go time? It is uncanny. .

    Im mentally prepared to see the low move west and for it to be over Kentucky at 12z on 1/7. .

    Except the low will be 300 miles west next run and it will be a cold rain with 34 degree temps. .
