  1. That's the silver lining of this run. Get a few inches of nice fresh white snow and call it a day.
  2. I find that model seems to be much better at focusing on region-wide averages. It will typically not have some of the crazy jackpot zones that other models have.
  3. (Once again), I would rather be where you are than where I am Expect the least and hope for the best. At this point, I just want things to be a mess outside. A few inches of fresh white followed by sleet, I can live with. The key difference here vs. the super-frustrating storm from a few weeks ago is that once the snow is finished, you can be at peace knowing it's just about done. That was sheer, unadulterated agony watching everyone switch back to snow with that storm while I kept pinging.
  4. Will it be Dr. No, or will there be a stay of execution?
  5. Yeah that call is pretty darn aggressive for I-95 and south especially...seems like he is all-in on the thump.
  6. That first guess map is from yesterday AM, if I had to guess he will be moving the SE boundary of the high end stuff northwest a bit.
  7. Definitely anticipating that axis to shift NW by a good bit over the next 24 hours. Climo starting to flex its muscle again. I'll be happy with 4" in Gap, hopefully it can survive to the weekend for sledding with the kids.
  8. Gonna be interesting to see if the 18Z NAM was onto anything with that sharp gradient to the N in Eastern PA. It really has that wedge of dry air pressing. Probably just noise but we will see.
  9. 32/23 in Gap, eastern Lancaster County. Hoping the QPF can fight its way east tonight. I'll be happy with 3".
  10. I was about to say that was surprising, but then I realized I probably received a decent bit more here from Sunday's storm than you did.
  11. I just checked AccuWeather for my location (Gap, Eastern Lancaster County) and it has doubled down on 6-10" here (61% probability). That seems...optimistic. Meanwhile, temperature has spiked to 37 here today.
  12. Hi all. Up at my inlaws in Poughkeepsie this weekend (visiting from Lancaster County PA). Looking forward to tracking this with you all, good luck.
  13. Thank you! Thought that might be the case. And small world!
  14. I'm traveling to my inlaws in the Hudson Valley this morning. Needless to say, I'm not happy about missing this at home... Nothing better than morning snow and coffee. And eastern LanCo is looking good. Hoping they at least pick up a few inches up in Poughkeepsie. Good luck all!
  15. Hi all! I'll be visiting my inlaws in Poughkeepsie this weekend (from Lancaster County PA), so looking forward to pulling for this event with all of you. And please let me know if I'm in the wrong forum
  16. I actually grew up in Altoona --went to Keith/AAHS and lived in Sinking Valley for six years prior to leaving home. I definitely miss the snowfalls up in the valley--especially when it was raining in the city. My mom actually lived near the Campus until about five years ago, up at the top of N. 4th Street. Really impressive how far west the heavy banding got.
  17. Woke up to moderate snow this morning. Roughly 7.8" storm total so far. Would have loved more but this has been epic regardless.
