    This still can't compare to the 2007 heatwave when I was in Southern Pines where it got to 108F with a heat index of 121F.

    Unfortunately the storm peaked at the worst possible time during the day.

    It is ongoing now at G4 but the Bz is north. We will see how much it holds through tonight and if that number shifts.

    I did! I was on two different cells actually. The first pic here is McGee’s Crossroads (east of Angier) and the other from off Capital Blvd in North Raleigh. This last image is as the cell in Raleigh moved off the ENE (Rain/hail separated from the updraft)

    Soon I will be selecting my target which will probably be the cell near Albemarle now.

    SPC cut back the tor risk now to just 2%. Mainly going to be a linear mode so just a shelf cloud opportunity.

    The cells east of the line are the ones to watch for any real discrete action and to see if they go supercellular or not. THere are a few popping up near GSP and west of Augusta, GA.

    We definitely have increasing dewpoints and more sun popping out. Mesoanalysis shows building SB CAPE. 0-6km is around 30 knots for now over Raleigh.
