  1. Good lord what a terrible clickbait article.
  2. Hopefully we can get a white Christmas this year. Something like 5" - 10" that starts Christmas eve.
  3. How many successful hatches have you had this year?
  4. It's both. Climavision had a great presentation at the New York mesonet. They're planning to fill most of the existing NEXRAD gaps as part of an agreement with NOAA/NSSL. Personally, I'm glad. This is a great way to provide operational data to NWS and fill longstanding gaps.
  5. Need to get a climavision radar in Cumberland or Deep Creek.
  6. Eric Webb really hammering the East based El Nino hard on Twitter. Then again, he lived in the desert southwest.
  7. From your mouth to God's ear. Just let it snow on the weekend only so I don't have to sit in a windowless operations center watching snow melt on roads.
  8. From the main El Nino thread in Weather Forecasting & Discussion.
  9. Just prepare for a dumpster fire of a winter and be happy with whatever we get.
  10. Ended up with just shy of 3". I had some real concerns that we would wind up busting low and was pleasantly surprised. After being dry since March, the spring at the farm where we board our horse in Finksburg is finally bubbling again. More rain please!
  11. If things looks like this come Veterans Day then I'll be more optimistic. We still have about 2 months.
  12. Well, there would be a lot of screaming by the folks with of I-70 that's for sure.
  13. Almost looks like a cold conveyor belt on radar. https://radar.weather.gov/station/klwx/standard
  14. Looks like the old center of circulation will creep NE through the western DC and Baltimore suburbs today.
  15. M2.38" RSTM2 COOP location. Finally got the soaking rainfall we needed regionwide.
  16. If the latest version of the HRRR is to be believed, we might see this precip shield really fill in around 3 pm to 4 pm. Would be nice to just get a soaking rain for a few hours and end this drought.
