  2. That's even more impressive when you look at the first half of the month.
  3. We have had some very heavy showers roll through over the past hour or two, skies here have brightened somewhat and the rain has stopped. Not a nice day however you look at it.
  4. Not normal but not unprecedented - I think they've done this in the past prior to "big" games. Opening Day draws fans from all over and I'll say this...kudos to the organization for making the decision now. I don't really care that much about weather conditions, but I would obviously prefer staying home rather than driving down there and then finding out the game was called. I think it's a pretty classy move by the Phillies. Friday is open for this very reason...use it to everyone's advantage.
  5. Going to the Phillies opener...which now is officially on Friday.
  6. Phillies game tomorrow is postponed. Opening Day is Friday.
  7. Moderate to heavy rain falling here at work. Radar is blossoming down south but the trajectory of that stuff will be to the east of most if not all of us.
  8. Hershey - Washington system has always worked far better than the period of time that the Bears were affiliated with Philly or Colorado. I was really happy when the Bears went back to being Washington's farm team.
  9. 0.05" in the bucket at home. 42 and dreary currently.
  10. Flyers fan here since the 1970s - Caps are playing very well. Playing very well at the right time of the year. One thing your team has that we're lacking right now is some veteran leadership. Having had Bears season tickets for years, I have a lot of respect and enjoy seeing Washington do well. Flyers are maximizing what they have to the limit. 3 times they fell behind in the 3rd period last night at MSG, 3 times they came back and tied it up. What is lacking in talent is not evident in the heart of that team. I'm not sure I've seen a team as resilient as the Flyers are and I've been an ardent fan of all 4 major sports going back to the early 1970s. I'd love to see one finish 3rd in the Metropolitan and the other claim a Wild Card berth.
  11. Sounds like my kind of weather! For a few minutes.
  12. Philly is riding the edge on most models - either just inside or outside the area of rain. The trend has been to shift precip east towards the coast over the past 24 hours
  13. That is some desperately needed encouraging news to come out of a horrible incident.
  14. A saving grace is the time of day this happened, I guess. No comfort at all to those directly impacted, but an ever greater catastrophe was averted. Dear god if this happened at 5pm. There are certain things that I cannot watch. I don't even want to list them. I do not have a strong stomach when it comes to human tragedies.
  15. I really wish I would not have watched the video. I feel sick. Horrible, horrible way to start a day. My heart aches right now.
  16. Ground was white in Maytown this morning. Heavy frost. Temp was 29 when I left for work.
  17. I'm giving mine to my daughter. She can wear it each time she comes to visit the #acinmaytownzone.
  18. You actually described my normal attire very well...
  19. We're going whenever it happens, no cancelation here. Phillies are giving out scarves on Opening Day. What am I going to do with a scarf? I don't ever wear gloves let alone that nonsense.
  20. Mount Holly is essentially writing Thursday off. Coastal develops an slowly moves north up the coast. No clearing until at least Friday morning. Nice win today. Capital gain.
  21. Thursday and Friday look horrible for baseball in Philly. Spring, please come back now.
