  1. I honestly don't remember even seeing a cloud today...likely due to the amount of smoke.
  2. Storm is sorta of Petering out over that mountain north of Harrisburg.
  3. The Pillow storm might actually track even a bit farther west than the first one. While the cell is moving pretty much due south, the core of cell seems to be congealing west somewhat.
  4. @sauss06 I didn't really think we'd get close to 90 today, but I'm at 89 now...
  5. I was just going to post that - the cell hitting Canderson now is more less heading directly down Interstate 83 and will miss me pretty far west. There are a couple of smaller cells NE of Harrisburg that might reach me if they hold together, but they are a ways off yet.
  6. I don't know if it's the smoke or what, but I see nothing looming on the horizon. Not even a hint of a darker tint to the sky to my N/NW.
  7. Canderson the rain magnet strikes again. He gets rain on a day there was a 0% chance.
  8. Today: Bubber > CTP. I love CTP and defend them endlessly, but there was ZERO mention of rain for today that I saw. Having said that, all I see here is sun and smoke.
  9. 1979 haunts me to this day. 2 things in particular: 1) Hearing "We Are Family" about 6 thousand times during the World Series 2) Hearing Omar Moreno's wife blow that f'ing whistle she had about 10 thousand times.
  10. Indeed they did! They actually were in the playoffs in 2012, 2014, and 2016. The last few years of godawful baseball I think fool some people that it wasn't that long ago that the O's were actually pretty good. In 2012 they were REALLY good. I feel for Pirates fans. Such a great baseball tradition and some really good baseball fans and very little to be excited about beyond having a gem of a ballpark. In my honest opinion, Camden Yards is way behind PNC Park for me. I love being there and just gawking at that sightlines.
  11. Same here. Looking outside I have flashbacks to when I was skinny, had hair, and my sports teams were really good. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago...
  12. I saw a post from you similar to this over the weekend, and you're right. While I was a little disappointed in getting less than 1" of rain, I was pleased with how it was distributed on Saturday evening. That half inch plus I got came in a couple of hours of time...other than a couple of bursts it was actually a very nice soaking.
  13. Sure is - I'm back to mowing twice a week again it appears.
  14. As depicted, that's a great week of summer weather. Sunny and 84 here at 1pm.
  15. So did I...which is why I decided to stop. I had a pretty good comeback lined up but wanted to keep things on the up and up.
  16. There's more I could say... But yeah...it's sunny and 78 here now.
  17. You have no idea. Girls were getting frustrated because my attention was divided listening to my transistor NOAA weather radio. Come to think of it...I hope there weren't any that needed help in the pool...
  18. 50 degree low on July 2nd is equally impressive. Surprised I don't remember that. It was the summer prior to my senior year in high school and the girls were relentless around me at the pool that summer.
  19. Have to believe it was a rare, stratiform rain kind of day?
  20. Yeah...mid 70s in these parts in July is pretty good. Yesterday was special. Not sure the last time I was in the 60s in mid-late July. I like the way Bubbler things though.
  21. While I prefer it to be as cool as possible... I don't really care if it's 90 degrees. It SHOULD be hot this time of year. What has made our recent weather miserable has not been the temperature...it's been the dewpoint. 92/62 is tolerable. 92/77 is not.
  22. Thanks for the update, I was wondering how you made out on Saturday, especially from the early afternoon storm. I would have thought you got more than what you did...or maybe you did get a decent amount from that and hardly any from round #2. I got .23" from the 1pm storm, .66" from the evening round, and then .03" after midnight for an "event" total of .92"
  23. Morning all... Yesterday's high here in the Historic district was 75, morning low was 64. Currently 73 with smoky sunshine.
