  1. I'm up to 74. It's gross out. Let's get the rain we need and move on the pleasant days ahead.
  2. For the record, I would have agreed 100% with you had I not read that. (and the thoughts of others) I don't recall a significant severe day without ample sun. Like you said...we'll find out soon enough. Hoping like heck you're right. And I am NOT a storm chaser. I am a bonafide storm hater.
  3. Mt Holly mentioned this in their disco this morning - they said that clearing today had little to no bearing on severe potential. (I'm sure that sun wouldn't have hurt) They said that pretty much every box was checked for a severe event today.
  4. My temp has been fluctuating between 80 and 82 for hours. 82 when it's bright, near 80 when the cloud cover thickens. Dewpoint is holding steady at 71.
  5. Certainly NOT saying this will happen, just a thought that occurred to me...how many times has an area been under an enhanced risk with any sort of watch never issued? At this point I think local warnings are more likely than an areal watch.
  6. Indeed. And while @canderson has gotten more overcast, the sun has suddenly burst forth here. For now.
  7. Does anyone know when the next SPC update will be? I wasn't sure exactly how often they update their disco and maps. Thanks.
  8. They were only in a Marginal Risk today with nothing noted by SPC for Tornado chances.
  9. 81.1/72 here. Kind of day when I walk outside, lenses fog up immediately. Sky conditions are the same here...peeks of sun, but overall it's still cloudy.
  10. That line imbedded in the larger rain shield is hauling heading SE.
  11. Hopefully those farts produce some actual drops and not just gas. Ready for some rain.
  12. Interesting snapshot - there is a "weakness" in the deck over Lanco - you can see it over the central part of the county. Sun has actually been peaking out here at work for the past 45 minutes already.
  13. Yes sir. #hopinglikeyouknowwhatthatthecloudsholdtough
  14. It was quite dark here for a few...and then it was gone. Ain't that the truth? It just happened the other night.
  15. I just walked across campus here at work, and you're right - there is a very noticeable northerly breeze out there. It feels much better than I expected.
  16. Yes we are, but 90 might be a reach today...currently at 84 here. Sort of surprised it's not warmer.
  17. When it comes to severe, I can wait until the end of time. For those that are fans, enjoy the "hunt" tomorrow.
  18. Whatever happens or doesn't happen tomorrow, the weather following looks incredible. And unlike typical summer fronts, instead of having a nice day or perhaps two, it looks like a nice string of days to close out July and start of the dog days.
  19. Best wishes to @sauss06 for a great vacation at the beach!
  20. Yes. They went way too far way too fast. (though, a lot in the country were asking for what they got)
  21. Oh I agree with you more than you know. I don't think it's "right" but my point yesterday was, and is, that the CDC (rightly or wrongly) has caused a lot of confusion and frustration. Hey, it might have been for the right reasons, but that doesn't change the impact the changes have had on the end user.
  22. Actually, that has happened in here in the past as well.
