  1. Temps are crashing, down 20 from a high of 88 to 68 currently...
  2. I agree. I find it especially frustrating in the winter when the forecast high is 34 and I reach 40. That's a big deal when a storm's approaching and if the day ends cloudy and you have to wet bulb down to 32.
  3. We've talked in here on and off for quite some time about how often high temperatures are often underdone. It's not just a summer thing, it happens year round. Not sure what the explanation is, but it happens a LOT. Never thought I'd see 88 today.
  4. In September we can pull off a 87/53 high/low. At the end of July, it's going to be difficult to get down near the record low for MDT.
  5. My point and click was raised from 53 to 58 today. I'm thinking closer to 60 than 50, that's for sure. Just reached 87...
  6. It'll be interesting to see if we manage to stay in the 70s here tomorrow under full sun. Wouldn't surprise me to see an 80-81 reading here. By the way, I'm up to 86 now and still climbing. I wonder how low we actually get tonight?
  7. A very warm 85 now. If it wasn't for the breeze it would feel downright hot in the sun. Can't complain too much about heat in August...it is the dog days of summer after all.
  8. WPC says eastern LSV might do okay in the next week: (not a good time to visit the SE coast)
  9. There's nothing like walking outside to a fresh, NW breeze. So invigorating!
  10. @Mount Joy Snowmanyou win again yesterday, as I only picked up .02" of rain.
  11. Another thing to consider - while little happened here, Bucks county got raked. Major car dealership damage in Bensalem. Understand there might be casualties as well.
  12. How about it? Makes you wonder about a guy with his star power moving to his 4th team in 4 years...
  13. For severe weather fans, today was the equivalent of waking up under a WSW for 12-24" of snow that ended producing scattered flurries.
  14. Watching what little activity that has been on radar has been weakening as it moves through the LSV.
  15. It does...I'd rather have no rain (or the .02" that I've mustered) than severe weather any day and night. I can water my lawn but I'll need help fixing damaged property.
  16. That arrow is pointing directly at my house. It's also going to miss @Mount Joy Snowman
  17. You have repeatedly been left to dry. Literally. And it looks like it might happen again.
  18. Maybe not the snow in El Paso part, but the last part of your post happens more than enough.
  19. Just remember how many times the Euro snow maps left you VERY frustrated...
  20. Snipped from CTP's latest disco: TOR Watch #401 remains in effect until 9 PM for southern half of central PA east of the Alleghenies. 40-50kt deep-layer shear profiles in place with 0-3km SRH values 200-300+ m2s2. Discrete rotating cells and or bowing line segments may be possible, producing locally damaging winds and a possible tornado or two. This atmosphere is as sheared as I have seen in central PA, and spinups can happen rapidly, so we`ll be watching closely throughout the afternoon and early evening.
  21. Second. I get tired of all the NAM bashing. Okay, it's usually warranted. But every 5 years it's right. (like January 2016)
  22. Currently at .02" of rain...there is a path (my specific location) to not see another drop of rain today. This assumes that what is currently on radar doesn't grow, reform, etc. Don't think it will happen but it could...
