  1. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we have the most active thread on the entire board these days. Sunny and 72 and 10:30 - should make it into the 80s with ease today.
  2. My record to add to this great disco - 79 degrees on 2/21/2018. Day ended under a Tornado Warning for the historic district.
  3. Exactly! I'm ready to call it quits for a while and head down to the river.
  4. Ha! I'm not going to get hung up on the pending heat wave when it's like this outside now. What will come, will come. These past 2 days have been pretty special for late June.
  5. Sunny and 77 approaching noon. Another spectacular summer day! Every day like this is one potential hot, miserable day that won't happen.
  6. Apparently Tomlin loves him already which is the kiss of death.
  7. Locker seems truly like a great guy. I cannot stand his voice. In fairness, Steve Coates was even worse calling Flyers games of yore. I've heard that Jim Jackson can be a real...well, not an approachable person to meet. I miss Bill Clement.
  8. I have friends who were originally from my area, moved to Santa Ana, CA in 1986 and then moved to Flagstaff in 2016. They absolutely LOVE living there, for all the reasons that you mentioned.
  9. I have horrid memories of that series. My depression train rolls on this afternoon. Pretty soon, I'll be tied and locked up and forced to listen to Craig Laughlin for 3 hours.
  10. Usually we start with the Isles playoff game from the 1980s that went into quadruple overtime. I had no reason to feel good that they would win game 7 after already losing 2 at home previously. Plus, Atlanta was confident and the Sixers were anything but.
  11. I work with a Caps partial season ticket holder. We love to exchange stories...
  12. The worst part about it is - the whole way down on Sunday, I KNEW they were going to lose. It's like when models are showing snow for us in the winter, but when you take into account storm track, local climate, and everything else, you get that sinking feeling that something's going to go wrong. At least I was "prepared" for them to lose. Oh, the joys of being a Sixers fan.
  13. I'm at a crossroads fellas. Been to nearly 800 Sixers games and once again I have full season membership for next season. Depending on what transpires, it might be my last. I've been a fan and going to games since the 1975-76 season and have been through a lot. Age and time commitments are starting to take some of the fun out of it. We'll see what happens soon enough.
  14. Holy cow. I decided to try and do that work thing for a couple of hours to come back to 3 new pages! You guys are killing it. Sunny and 76 here. Nice breeze. Feels great. And then...someone brought up the 76ers and my day turned cloudy...
  15. Sunny had a delightful 70.0 on the nose now. Just back from a river trail walk and wow...this is something for late June. Enjoy it friends!
  16. For the days we live in and the technology that we have, that is a horrible way to produce recordkeeping. Wow...
  17. We can be proud that we have our own small-scale version of DCA right up the road from us.
  18. Ssshhh - don't let anyone here know this, but I MIGHT have had a sweatshirt on last evening when i was outside for a while... I was still in shorts though.
  19. I said this a year or 2 ago when we were talking about MDT's readings. I drive the river route to Conestoga every day, and it's usually a few degrees warmer RIGHT along the river on 441 than it is away from the water. That, combined with all of the asphalt makes their reading completely believable to me. (at least the warmer night temps compared to those surrounding HIA) I flew out of HIA one morning in 2018 when there was about 2" of fresh, but very wet snow at the 283/Airport connector exit. Those who know it realize that it's only about 1.5-2 miles from the terminal and the river. That morning, by the time my wife dropped me off at Departures...there was no evidence that it had snowed. It was too warm to accumulate.
  20. Well good folks - reading posts over the past week or two about a lot of you getting down into the 40s on some of our cooler nights, not once did i get below 51. Last night we radiated out like a champ! My low this morning was 48. :)
  21. Not complaining. It was a "good" .34" - soaked into the ground. Wow...that's impressive. That's like Simmons going 8-10 from the line or something.
  22. I had about 2 hours of steady rain, and then another hour or so with light showers/sprinkles. Haven't looked at the station yet for an amount. I don't think the rain reached the areas where it's raining now until close to noon.
  23. Moderate rain is falling. Oh how sweet it is! (and radar looks good to my west)
