  1. Thank you! I forgot to mention that very thing. Every day during the summer season the beach patrol clears the water, regardless of surf conditions. It's sort of comical to watch people line up on the beach and head directly into the ocean the second that the beach patrol hits the boardwalk on their first steps off-duty.
  2. Rehoboth Beach has informative signs posted at each public beach access point with diagrams and instructions for Rip Currents. Each individual still owns some responsibility to use and educate themselves.
  3. Someone lost their life in a riptide in Rehoboth over the weekend. It happened 30 minutes after the RBP went off duty. Fall swimming is potentially very dangerous with tropical activity offshore and unguarded beaches.
  4. 94 - still running 3 degrees behind yesterday's readings.
  5. 88 on the nose - running a good 3 degrees lower than yesterday at the same time.
  6. Yeah, not much mowing happening these days. My yard is worse (dead) than at any point this year. Driving around, it's striking just how brown everything is.
  7. Might eek out one extra day in the 90s. Friday now appears to be a strong candidate.
  8. Potential weather (thunderstorms) issue for the PSU game Saturday afternoon. Time to practice the evacuation procedure...
  9. It is disgusting - my dewpoint was 62 at 4pm, it's now 70. And this has to be close to uncharted territory...it was 84 degrees here at 7:30pm. At 8:45pm it's 86!
  10. Also of note, of my 17 days above 90 this year, today was only the 3rd day at or above 95. Will likely add 2 more to that total.
  11. I am running one day ahead of MDT - today was day #17 for me. Last year I finished with 34. Thought I would finish with less than half of last year's total but this stretch ruined that. (Oh shoot, where is he?) And 2020 I finished with a whopping 47 days at or above 90.
  12. 98 will be the high here...temp down to 94 now despite full sun.
