  1. It really is - I'll be staying in town (Mammoth Lakes) at about 7,900' of elevation in mid May. Every year is wildly different, but most years the snow has melted off in town (except for huge piles) by time I'm scheduled to arrive. The mountain that the town sits in the valley of should still be pasted in many feet of snow - time will tell what we'll see/experience.
  2. Snow season has commenced in Mammoth, CA - I cannot wait until I'm out there in May:
  3. Say what??? Certainly not over here. Grass is spring-like green and growing fast. Whatever is going on in Palmyra...share it.
  4. Well, you were talking about your hammy earlier so i thought i might as well go back to the buns...
  5. Hate to say it...sandwiched in between the 2 of you at 63 and overcast.
  6. 2.18" was the tally here. Pretty remarkable looking at the numbers from surrounding locales...
  7. Picked up .02" of "rain" since midnight. Lots of fog/mist/drizzle on the drive to work earlier.
  8. Let's be honest here...Harrisburg doesn't have an airport, period.
  9. Quiet day in the world of HR. Have to create my own issues. LOL
  10. I mean sorta...but clearly, you're closer to my bun than his. Wait...that don't sound so good. LOL
  11. Striking difference in weather today across the Keystone state:
  12. Only 2 home games played but my wife and I are very, very happy to be former Society 76 members. Compared to benefits/perks offered by teams in other sports, the Sixers offerings were minimal. Had to pay full price for parking and concessions and very modest discount on merchandise. Our money will be much better spent elsewhere. And then...there's the team...
  13. Here is CTP's AFD from 12:07pm yesterday afternoon...literally just a few hours from the onset of one of the biggest rainmakers for me this year - essentially, a 0% chance or rain reaching my area... Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service State College PA 1207 PM EDT Sun Oct 23 2022 .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure will linger off of the east coast through early this week, as a ridge of high pressure holds over Pennsylvania. A weakening cold front is likely to push through the state late Wednesday, then high pressure should build in from the Great Lakes to end the week. && .NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/... 1045 am update... Our current forecast is pretty well in hand, so only a few cosmetic tweaks were made, based on the latest observational data. Late morning satellite and radar imagery showed Atlantic moisture making a slow approach into the Commonwealth from the east and southeast. The overall environment appears to be dry enough across the forecast area (even the Susquehanna Valley and western Poconos) to keep most, if any rainfall from reaching the ground this afternoon/early evening. The latest suite of high resolution, near-term model guidance well supports this thinking. We`ll retain a very low chance (20-30%) of some patchy light rain/drizzle over eastern Lancaster and Schuylkill counties, but that`s about it.
  14. Rain has stopped - 2.16" in the bucket. @Mount Joy Snowman I'm glad you exceeded the 2" mark as well...I felt guilty reporting such high totals. It essentially poured the entire night.
  15. I was thinking of that last evening. Very true. I'm currently at 2.07".
  16. I have 1.98" - I'll say! It's still raining...I'm going to end up over 2" for what was a 20% chance of an isolated shower.
  17. Overachiever in progress tonight- .27" and still raining. Never did I think I'd get over a quarter inch of rain from this.
  18. Rain continues to fall here. 56 degrees with .07" so far.
  19. The Phillies are everything that their friends who play on the hardwood are not - a true team, full of likeable guys who seem to enjoy and pull for each other every night. And unlike the basketball team, the Phillies are fun to watch.
  20. Down 15 to 58 here. Perfect fall evening. Agree with you about early next week-thinking a few areas get into the 75-78 range.
