  1. It's a requirement of my position. It's amazing how quickly I shed the work clothes upon entering the house - tee shirt and shorts time! My profile picture is my everyday work vibe. Pic was taken a couple of years ago at an HR conference in DC.
  2. Had a not-so-cold low of 35 this morning. Felt nice leaving the house in a short sleeve polo.
  3. He sort of covers both ends of the spectrum with "Woof" and "Just something to watch for" - he can't be wrong!
  4. If MU is correct we're going to see a lot of those tracks over the next few months.
  5. After a bit of a spike in temps earlier this morning, the temp has really leveled off here over the past couple of hours. It was 47 at 11am, it's now 46 two hours later.
  6. 46 and quite breezy here under variably cloudy skies. You were referring to Elliott Abrams yesterday - I remember when I was young, there were a few terms he used often to describe cloud cover during the winter months: Variably Cloudy - did NOT want to hear that. It meant flurries at best. Considerable Cloudiness - not a big fan of that either...usually meant light snow/flurries that didn't amount to much Cloudy - now we're talking. Potentially could be a meaningful snowfall Overcast - the best term. Often used during significant events That's my recollection and reaction to how his forecast would begin for the day...I always remember wanting to hear him start of with "Cloudy and cold today with..." or "Overcast and cold with..."
  7. GFS missed badly in western parts of the LSV. Lots of approx. 1" reports where the GFS had warning criteria snow amounts.
  8. Friend of mine here at work that is a sports nut like I am takes an annual weekend trip somewhere across the US for a "3 game in 3 day long weekend" excursion...earlier this fall, he went to a Cubs game at Wrigley on Friday, saw the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, and then went to Lambeau on Sunday. Drove back to Chicago Monday and flew back and was in the office Tuesday morning. He said that the Lambeau experience was one of a kind...his only complaint was that there's very little room in those seats. Stand up for something and when he went to sit down, his seating space shrunk in half while he was standing. Edit: he also said that attending a Packers game is a very costly experience. LOL
  9. I was at the Steelers game in Pittsburgh the day you're talking about with the Eagles...only got about 1" out there but it was 20 degrees and snowing heavily in the 1st quarter. Still a very fun experience. Shoot, I even wore a jacket.
  10. Yeah, that's a good point. I'm sure that they're a little hardier up there with weather than some other venues, but there comes a time when too much is too much. (though it does sound like the south towns might get less than BUF and north)
  11. There have been a few fun games to watch in Buffalo over the years.
  12. Noted - I finished with 1.09" officially in Maytown. I haven't received a total from Maytown International yet... Speaking of Buffalo - Josh Allen will likely be riding my bench on my fantasy team this weekend. Not so much because of all the red zone picks the past 2 games, but the passing game might be somewhat limited in Orchard Park on Sunday.
  13. Yep, he did well - especially his main focus area which is Lanco. Not sure how much rain he expected but it is a deluge - going to eclipse the 1" mark shortly.
  14. .81" of rain so far with the heaviest rain of the event falling now.
  15. 2018 I received 6.7" of snow. Tonight, I'm making a run at 1" of liquid gold.
  16. Because, they take your forecasts on here to heart and you said there'd be nothing but maybe a few flakes in Harrisburg.
  17. Rain. Heavy rain. And nothing but rain. 35.4 currently with .34" of rain so far. I have not been expecting anything but rain...but a tad jealous of everyone getting snow. Enjoy!
  18. Light rain and 38. Temp up 1 degree over the past hour.
  19. On behalf of true CPA weenies all around...we salute you for that map.
  20. First snowflakes of the season in Maytown - I didn't see them, but my wife said a recent burst of heavier precip delivered a few parachutes. Back to light rain/sleet mix now.
  21. It doesn't look like you performed an annual snow mow... Nice pic nonetheless.
  22. Most impressive thing to me on that map is the sub-freezing temps literally to the Gulf on 12/1.
