    Aircraft sounding from Raleigh (RDU) at 1107 pm showed the surface based warm layer was about 1200 ft thick. The second above freezing level at around 4,200 ft will cool with saturation.     also, Fishel and WRAL seem to often speak as if their entire audience lives in Wake County and Raleigh. The microclimates of Chapel Hill, Durham, and Person County often are a total different world during winter events.
