  1. Like most of southwest Virginia, It’s very isolated and economically depressed.
  2. Harrisonburg receives an average of about 24 inches of snow per year, similar to Philly. It can snow there from November to April. In cold periods, snowcover can last for a couple of weeks, and snow on snow is not rare.
  3. As least for the western and northern half of NC, and VA, I don’t understand the “it won’t snow After mid February” faction here. If anything, March snows have become more prevalent In the last decade.
  4. That’s believable. The Triad excels at one inch snows this year
  5. Judah Cohen @judah47 "March, in like a lion out like a lamb." GFS predicting the first part should be correct as blocking shifts from Europe closer to Greenland allowing relatively colder temperatures to return to both Europe & the Eastern US. Still just a forecast but impressive expanse of cold air!
  6. Triad has been jackpotting with March snowfalls in recent years
  7. I do feel a March snowstorm is coming for most here
  8. DC outrage as snows fails to show again! https://twitter.com/MatthewCappucci/status/1362408652943032325?s=20
  9. Seems like sleet is mixing in in North Winston-Salem
  10. Horrible bust for DC/Baltimore area, which is getting pelted with sleet and freezing rain instead of predicted inches of snow.
