Nothing on the horizon but we can get a sneaky warm day like yesterday. 70 is never off the table even in December and January

Yeah I mean we've seen 80 in February lol.

  2. Between the 2" on Tuesday and 1" in change today, that makes for a pretty solid 3" event.

I think it's even more impressive that tomorrow will be a week since I've seen sunshine.  Grass looking great though for this time of year, just needs a rake/cut.

I don't like hot and humid weather

Hoodie weather is the best and yes you can still have fun in this weather.

But this time of year "nice" weather is neither hot nor humid.  Anyone who would take this weather over 70° and sunny has to be lying lol.

Next week looks great after a slightly cooler weekend.

Slim chance at 90F for warmest spots tomorrow but that's it after that well unless we got some ridiculous October ridge I suppose.

Maybe the 90° temps are through, but we don't need that kind of heat to see AN weather anymore.  As we head into fall next week even low 80's are enough for +10 days.

I don't think we'll see many 90s after the 31st. I see a lot of big highs coming across to start September.

Yeah I mean naturally as we head into September there is going to be less 90's.  But regardless this last stretch of August will rack up some more.

Nonethless, I think we will extend summer into fall like we've been doing.

Yep days quickly shortening....close to 2 hrs less daylight than 6/21

Eh, been seeing people post about less daylight since the day after the solstice, and that it won't be long etc...

Decreasing average temps just mean that the 90's we get are racking up bigger +departures.

The convection riding north of l-80 and the LIE has been really consistent this summer.

Definitely yeah, this is one of several very heavy convection events we've had.  It's been an absolute deluge for the last half hour or so.

Ehh, not sure about that. The near 100 temps are done but I think we have a few more 90s left.

Yeah since 2015 it's hard to bet against the endless summer pattern like bluewave alludes to.  And it doesn't necessarily have to be in the 90's for it to be AN once we get into September.

The coming higher dewpoints will allow the minimum temperature departures to catch up to the warmer maximum departures.

Yep, took a little while to get here, but the warm humid nights are back.

Blue Skies - nothing but blue skies

    Good Vibrations kind of day

Don't think you can ask for a better combo of days between yesterday and today.  Perfect weather for the 4th, deep blue skies.

    How insane would this be?

And yes I know there isn't a snowballs chance in hell

Well it did pick up on the cool idea interestingly enough.  Ended up being mid-60's during the day and 40's at night here.

If long range is right time is gonna start slipping away on this summer. 72 at 1pm full sun in late June. Not heat next couple weeks puts us well into July. By August it obviously can be hot but some of the sting is taken out and thoughts turn towards school and fall. Heat has about a 6-7 week window right now and it don’t look great.

We get heat into October these days.  I'm not worried at all.  We wouldn't say winter is starting to slip away a day before the solstice in December.

  13. 49 last night.  Not sure I remember a cooler night this far into June.  The house is 68 degrees.

Today should be better with the sun.  Hoping for July we can turn on the heat switch and get some heatwaves going.
