  1. lol...and some people like talking about themselves in the third and fourth person. Weird.
  2. Actually, there was no agreement because you chose the two places that would have the highest Dp's in the state. For the record, IJD has 4, BDL and HFD have 2 each. In the past you'd cite BDL quicker than a fly on Ginxy's backyard dog poo as the "hottest" month ever but for some reason you need to spin it to the most humid places to verify.
  3. A 612hr map - what could go wrong? Lock it in!
  4. A full 20° warmer here this morning. Still better than a low of 70° which I've only done once this summer. Normally I have 3 of those but there's still time left in the period to do that.
  5. We were promised HHH 8/15 and beyond. What is this "mild down" that you speak of? Shouldn't it be a solid torch from now on?
  6. Seems to be the theme this year. Last year it was relentless dews. It's AN, but at least there are breaks.
  7. Exactly. What a bizarre take on dog ownership that was. I guess he's never heard of working dogs or thought that some people might have a dog because they are loving and care about another living being?
  8. If they are to be believed, it looks like it will be like that from now on:
  9. I saw this survey yesterday about thoughts on the future of the Boston Common and thought I would pass it along. Perhaps if enough of us commented that they should put a weather station there like Central Park has, they might consider it. I know we've long talked about the benefit of having one, particularly in winter. This is your chance! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BostonCommonMasterPlan
  10. Over the air antenna. I have a pair of antenna's and pick up Boston, Providence, Hartford and Springfield channels. The best part is that every one is crystal clear and you get the full HD signal and not some compressed version through cable or satellite. Take a look at tvfool.com and you can see what channels are available at your house. That will also tell you what kind of antenna you need.
  11. I could have used that back when I provided forecasts for Temple Mountain Ski Area. That area always seemed to find a way to over perform in the late 80s/early 90s. We have an AirNow station here in town but I wish it reported more frequently than just once an hour. I do like that they use high quality sensors and generally good siting.
  12. Having the sun set earlier and rise later allows more time to cool. I was thinking this morning if I had another 10-20 minutes before the sun rose I would probably have had a low of 49 instead of 50. Of course you're correct in that we'll most like see additional 90° days but they just don't have the same impact as one in peak climo.
  13. 50° here for the low. Just missed the 40s...was hoping I'd touch them. I typically do in August but it would have been nice. I'm sure places lower than me did.
  14. It was supposed to be June onward, then July onward and most recently the 15th onward. Now it looks like the 20th "onward". It's never been "onward" but pockets or periods of HHH. Typical New England summer just on the hot side if you ask me.
  15. For a guy who who criticizes people for wishing summer away you sure like wishing nice weather away. Sounds like we're in for more late summer weather...different day, different flavor.
  16. 69 here off a high of 73°. Sounds like an late spring early autumnal air mass with the instability showers. It was a great day here for getting things done and not getting overly hot.
  17. 53 here...great sleeping weather. Looking forward to getting some stuff done this weekend.
  18. Have you ever thought that the reason it's quiet in here is because people are outside and doing things and enjoying the weather?
  19. Certainly in the realm of possibilities in colder spots. 30s Fakersville?
  20. Same here. Looks like another stretch of HHH has begun. Seriously, it looks like perfect timing and a nice weekend coming up.
  21. Here: Friday Sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Friday Night Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 57. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Saturday Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 77. West wind 6 to 9 mph. Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Sunday Sunny, with a high near 78. West wind 3 to 7 mph. All BN.
