Well this is effin’ marvelous. 70 and a gentle breeze.

I was on this end, Mappy just five miles north of me only had just over an inch per her post just above. That's the frustrating thing about this entire summer of rain, extremely hit and miss - we got lucky this time, lots of the area didn't. Looking north of us, up to central PA up to new england, they've taken much more area wide rains this summer and...their deluges have been even worse. I still wish we could find a forum-wide rain event that drops a gentle inch over everyone as opposed to whiffs in one area and deluges where the winners are but I guess that's just the pattern we remain stuck in.

Ended up getting absolutely deluged here in Monkton.

I seem to have successfully taunted the atmosphere into finding my house with a storm.

Looking forward to seeing storms approach from the west - dry up - and then reform five miles east of the house with torrential rain on either side and .002 for my backyard…

FFW has been ridiculously bad this summer up my way. Just looked at radar and ran it forward and am gonna go ahead and water.

Missed for most part yesterday other than a 15 minute rain shower around seven. flood watch for whole area today 2-8.

Awakened to sound of rain hitting the roof around 3 am - looking forward to seeing the yard and area refreshed with moisture again this weekend.

I am seeing a pretty good chance of rain Sunday into the overnight and into Monday. You don't think so?

Finally home, sitting outside and reveling in how good the temps are after being stuck inside at work since very early this morning. It’s 79 and absolutely feels amazing.

Models just struggling with where to bring it ashore and throw copious moisture at our area that dries up on arrival in southern Virginia and then re-forms in PA. Once they resolve that, they will center on a solution...

sigh. As always, the models that are right in any given moment, summer or winter, are the ones that show us getting screwed over...

Just have to hope like hell that Rogers and/or Eflin catch a second wind and a tweak or two is made from fresh eyes from the Os coaching staff to elevate their ceiling. I really REALLY wanted a hammer to put between Burnes and Grayson for playoff series (multiple series hopefully) and neither Eflin or Roger are anywhere close to that, so, will have to hope that bats are humming come playoff time. Maybe Holliday will hit the ground running on his recall and give them a jolt for this closing stretch of games in August/Sept.

What a gut punch of a miss up this way.
