  1. You all could just put him on ignore. That's a thing. It works.
  2. Right now tie for 3rd, and two new third place worst totals on the table.
  3. @C.A.P.E. @Bob Chill huh- my wife and I are circling around on New Brunswick for the next step - if that doesn’t work - New Hampshire is our fallback. We turn 50 this year and our youngest of two is off to college - when he clears school is the window to try and make that transition happen. We want four seasons still.
  4. I am so sorry Katie - will hold a thought for her and you and your family.
  5. Deadpool the first was amazing. Both quality.
  6. I got it. I was trying to deadpan play along.
  7. We don't. He died a few years back...
  8. Because your area wasn't representative of those of us along I-95 near Balt and points east. You know (because we keep reminding you) that we did not get the surprise foot storm that you did, for instance.
  9. @PrinceFrederickWx@psuhoffman @George BMtoday's CWG with an article rather on point for this discussion as it has carried over through several threads: https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2020/02/05/study-reveals-climate-change-is-shrinking-snow-south-fall-spring-over-much-nation/
  10. Here's where we are currently on 2/05/20: BWI: 1.8"/DCA: 0.6"/IAD: 2.9" These are the seasonal futility numbers to keep in mind as this horror show continues: BWI: .7 - '49/'50 1.2 - '72/'73 1.8 - 2011/12 2.3 - 2001/02 3.0 - 2016/2017 DCA .1 - '97/'98 .1 - '72/'73 2.0 - 2011/12 2.2 - '75/'76 2.5 - '30/'31 Dulles: 2.2 - '72/'73 2.6 - 2001/02 3.7 - 2011/12 4.4 - '80/'81 5.9 - '97/'98
  11. Pssst, there's a whole thread on that. Check out the historic futility thread.
  12. Per Ian on twitter, DCA has not had a single high 32 or below so far this "winter". Has a chance to match '97-'98 if they finish off with no highs freezing or below. Course, that was a super nino year - unsettling to have this problem in an ENSO neutral season...
  13. If we can get on the board for a top 5 futility record at one of the airports - glasses of warm water in honor of what fell this winter.
  14. Ian notes on Twitter a few days ago the appearance of crocuses around DC. Can confirm same for my yard in Baltimore. Sited on February 4.
  15. This would be a pretty great weather day for Opening Day.
  16. Re: "the pelvic stuff" - I am guessing you don't watch Dancing with the Stars, then. Competitive dance competitions have all manner of such pelvic thrusting and what not.
  17. My father-in-law lives in Brevard, NC which is south of Asheville and right near the SC border. He is delighted with the four inches of surprises snow they have had today.
  18. It is somewhat sadly hilarious that we are reduced to hoping for a below freezing morning low at some point in the next 10 days in...late January/early February.
  19. Yup. My tulip trees are gonna be hella at risk with regard to an early bud again.
  20. Sounds like the flowering trees have a chance to pop way too early this year again - last time that happened it turned super cold in March and murdered their normal beauty. I think that was the March 2017 debacle after it was so damn warm that February. Boo. Do not want.
  21. I bumped the futility thread 10 days ago for a reason...
  22. I don't know what "12z rubs" means.
  23. I had approximately 27 snowflakes frozen to my windshield this morning. Debating calling it a "T"...
