  1. Made it down to 32 last night. Another frosty morning.
  2. Made it down to 30.5 IMBY last night. Looks like another frost/freeze possible tonight. Ugly start to May but at least the sun is shining.
  3. That's crazy. Take a drive a few miles inland... its a winter wonderland.
  4. Measured the same here. Its pretty nasty out there. Power flickered a few times. The temp is holding steady at 30 IMBY. Looks like we may add another inch or two.
  5. CLE issued advisories for 3 - 7". With marginal temps and a warm ground it will be interesting to see how much it accumulates. As you mentioned, it will take heavier rates for bigger totals. The good news is that it will all disappear quickly.
  6. We'll see what happens. I'm completely out of snow mode but early and late season snows are always interesting events. I won't forget April 2005 anytime soon... That was an amazing late season event. I was living in Lyndhurst at the time and I think we had 23".
  7. Right around the same total here - 14.2". Winds are really howling and blowing the snow around. Impressive event. Even with the cold temps the past few days the bottom layer of the snow is wet.
  8. Wow... That Huron band is starting to get organized. It's awfully thin and just to the west of here... Hopefully it swings a little further east and parks for the night.
  9. It has been pouring snow here. Looks like 3"'since 5pm or so. This area has been lucky to be under the band for awhile.
  10. We've probably had close to 6" so far in Chagrin. This fluff is blowing around though. Inversion must be pretty low as the sun is peeking through at times.
  11. The snow started around 6:30 or 7pm last night. Tough to measure but I'll go with 3.2" as of 6:30am. We'll see what today brings. The radar should start to blossom as winds turn more northerly. Huron bands are tough to come by but this is an ideal set-up. It will be interesting to see where is sets up today.
  12. The snow seems to be consolidating out west. The main show will probably be the LES that develops behind the storm. It will be interesting to see where the huron band sets up. Wonder if the persistent easterly flow will be tough to overcome at first.
  13. Haven't paid too much attention to model trends but it seems we're looking at our biggest synoptic snowfall of the year. Hopefully the energy doesn't transfer too quickly. Looks like a nice lake enhacement set up. The ground is pretty cold so it shouldn't melt as quickly as last week. With a sun angle the same as early October it will definitely have trouble sticking to roads during the day.
  14. The area around 422 and 306 seemed to be the worst in terms of tree damage. Many roads are still closed. Amazing winds yesterday. Not looking forward to the cold again.
  15. Bad combo of wet soil and high winds today. Lot's of tree's down... lost one large tree imby already.
  16. I was truly surprised to wake up and see this. As DTA mentioned, extremely heavy snow at times. Well over 4" at this point. Radar is looking good.
  17. I heard the tornado sirens this morning. The line that came through wasn't all that impressive. It was definitely windy though with a few loud boomers. Hard to believe it will be snowing again soon.
  18. Yeah... what a weekend weather wise. Noticed that the daffodils started poking through the soil already. Hard to believe we will have warm weather for another 5 days or so.
  19. Amazing to see 50's and fair weather in the forecast for the next week. A fitting end to this Winter I guess. I'm sure we'll get a few snows in March but this has been a bad season at least locally. We are at about 50% of average. Areas just north of here are probably at or above their seasonal snowfall. I'd bet the Willoughby/Kirtland corridor is well above at this point.
  20. Measured a little less here... but the heavy bursts were just east of my hood last night. We have about 24 hours to enjoy this
  21. Looks like we'll be on the western fringe but yeah, we could see a short but decent les event. With full sun and the birds chirping is sure looks and feels like Spring out there. Sun angle is about the same as late October so it feels nice with clear skies. I'm about ready to close the book on this Winter.
  22. What a day out there... full sun and temps in the upper 40's. Sorry I jinxed the cold and snow by coming back to town. What's amazing is that the snow on the ground (at least IMBY) has been melting from beneath as the ground isn't frozen. The ground is remarkably soft for this time of the year. The long range is not looking great for cold and snow.
  23. Thanks for the measurements. Appreciate it. Beers are on me at Panini's. I think we have a few local folks... we should all meet up at some point.
  24. What's your total so far? Since you live so close I'll just use yours. I don't get back in town until Thursday night... what a bummer.
  25. Congrats on the snow! I should leave town more often. I'm out west with nothing but blue skies and mild temps. Can't believe I missed this one.
