@losetoa6 I just read the comments in the Mid Atlantic thread & you should not put up with that nonsense! Like I said earlier, please post here in our friendly group!

@psuhoffman and @losetoa6 It seems like the rest of the Mid Atlantic forum has declared winter to be over even though March only begins tomorrow. Please post your thoughts in our thread. Most of us in here will track every snow flake until the end is really upon us!

It is very much a back yard game to most of us. I care what my yard gets and MDT measures. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter to me what the rest of you measure! I have already accepted that @Cashtown_Coop will always win!

That type of extreme difference would bother me for sure! But if the difference is relatively close, I would rather it go down that MDT got 12 and my yard only got 10.

To me, I would rather MDT record more than my yard. I enjoy seeing what goes in the official record books. The official total at MDT is what the local news reports and what history will refer back to over the years.

Thanks for the insight! I’m sure that they know what they are doing. I just have some fun with it when I don’t get the results that I want for the Winter snow scoreboard!

Yes, awesome...”T” ! I guess the observer must have slept in yesterday....there should be at least .3 in the books based on everything else available. But, if you looked outside at 9am, you would have never knew that it snowed yesterday!

The pattern at the end of this week looks really interesting with low pressure in the gulf, -NAO, 50/50 low and ridging out west. Hopefully we get a winter storm to track with this look on the 18z GEFS & EPS!

I had a car topper & grass covering. I didn’t go outside to officially measure, but it was more than a trace but less than 1 inch. The snow was still there at 8am.

Please tell this to CTP & the MDT observer! The MDT observer’s job is simple today....He needs to put .3 inches at least on the books for our 20 inch snow February! (I can’t wait to see the inevitable “T” that gets put down tonight....)

I just woke up and looked out to see the car tops are covered and the grass is covered as well in snow.

Temps should Wet bulb down to the low 30’s when decent precip gets going.

Every model has 1 to 2 inches tonight for most of us!

The 18z Euro says that I should get my .3 inches of snow tonight at MDT unless the observer is sleeping through the event tonight!

The last HRRR run looks good for tonight!

The 18z RGEM & Para GFS have been steady the last couple of days for tonight’s chance of snow.

Here are the 18z NAMs for tonight’s chance.

My weekend will be happier if MDT can record just .3 inches of snow tonight in order to make February a 20 inch snow month! Most models the few days and again at 18z say that there should be a decent chance tonight!

I think that we still will have some snow chances in March.

The 18z RGEM, 3k NAM & GFS Para are still on board for early Saturday for a little CTP snow.

CTP included these thoughts this morning for the Friday night light snow chance. “Seems like most of the QPF Fri night into Sat will be later Fri night and early Sat. Have kept PoPs in the 70s for the time being as QPF looks light. Temps should be holding steady or rising a little through the night. So, while the precip may be snow at first, it should turn to rain for at least the srn half to 2/3rds of the area. Temps start out marginal/near freezing and SLRs run below 10:1. Accums may be an inch or so over a good portion of the area, but it may be mush by the time the sun rises on Sat.”

Many of the overnight models still liked the idea of 1 to 2 inches of snow early Saturday morning for many of us.

The 18z Euro is starting to juice up for a little early Saturday morning snow!

Yes, we have the RGEM on the snow side for Friday night into early Saturday! Choo Choo Canada style! It knows right where to put the bullseye again!
