The 6z GFS says that March will go out like a Lion. Maybe we will have 1 more chance of seeing some snow flakes this season?

I found us some modeled snow just in time for Easter! I’m sure that it will play out just like this...

I haven’t had the chance to look at the long term weather models the last couple of days. Any chance of one last winter storm to track?

Weather World was a must watch for me every day! Before the Internet, they were one of the best sources for PA weather. Paul was great, along with several other meteorologists that were on the air throughout the years. Many of them also worked at Accuweather, so when the Internet came about, it was great to connect with them again with their blogs & articles. My trusty weather radio also was a must listen a few times per day. I loved setting it to the Alert function when I was expecting a Winter Storm Watch or Warning to be issued. The local TV weather was also a main source of information. I used to drive my parents crazy by flipping around the channels to try to catch all 3 different TV weather forecasts.

The Blizzard of 93 started my passion for the weather back when I was in High School.

CTP is on board with a mix & change over to snow in my zone forecast. Thursday Night Rain before 3am, then rain and snow. Low around 33. North wind 10 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Friday Rain and snow likely before 7am, then a chance of snow between 7am and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 40. North wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

18z GFS Para says that some people from VA to New England might need their snow shovels on Friday! It may be our last snow train ride for 8 months!

Same general theme on most weather models overnight. There are areas of rain changing to snow from VA to PA to New England. It will depend on who gets the good rates that will get some snow on Friday.

The 18z Euro is on the right track! It all depends on where the good rates set up. We are all in the game at this time. Someone from MD to New England will get a decent snow event out of this on Friday.

Someone from MD to southern New England is going to get some good snow on Friday. Hopefully it all fills in and we all get the snow goods on Friday am!

Road trip to your place!!!

Most models still have rain changing to snow for many of us on Friday morning. It’s just a matter of the final track and precip rates that will determine if any us can score an inch or 2 of slushy snow on Friday.

We have a little sleet in Marysville this morning. There is a light partial dusting of sleet on the car tops.

With the super low dew points across CTP, things could get interesting for a few hours tomorrow if any of the precip moving our way can survive. Maybe they will expand the Advisory further to the east ?

The 12z Euro was very interesting for our Friday morning change over to snow chance.

The ensembles have been upping the potential for this late week chance the last couple of days.

Before we get to the Late week potential, the 18z Euro has some light snow for us on Tuesday.

Wind today and then snow maybe Tuesday and a better chance on Friday according to many weather models today!

The 0z Euro Control run said yes to the snow train later this week.

The 12z EPS snow map is also responding to the late week possibility as well!
