  1. Perry county(my county) is in this, but I am in the lower elevation, so I highly doubt that I’ll see flakes today....but I don’t mind being in this HWO!

A widespread, soaking rainfall of 1 to 1.5 inches today and this evening will lead to moderate rises on small streams and creeks, and perhaps some ponding of water and minor, poor drainage flooding. The rain will mix with wet snow for up to several hours late this morning and this afternoon.
  3. Special Weather Statement Special Weather Statement National Weather Service State College PA 1049 AM EDT Sun May 9 2021 PAZ004>006-010-011-037-092200- Warren-McKean-Potter-Elk-Cameron-Tioga- 1049 AM EDT Sun May 9 2021 ...HIGHER ELEVATION WET SNOW THIS AFTERNOON... A steady, soaking rainfall is expected over much of the Commonwealth this afternoon and early evening. However, across the higher elevations of the northern tier, as temperatures drop for a time early this afternoon, a transition to wet snow is expected. The main time frame for wet snow is between about 2 and 7 pm. Minor accumulations are anticipated over colder, grassy surfaces, but paved surfaces should stay primarily wet. Thus, we don`t expect any impact on driving conditions. As temperatures slowly come upward late in the day and this evening, any wet snow is expected to change back to rain by 7 or 8 pm.
  4. We need someone to witness this snow today, good luck today up there.
  5. The models this morning still are showing snow for northern PA! Here are the 6z NAMs for today, May 9th!

  9. This should be the last time that I get to do this until this Fall.... Here are the Snow maps for northern PA for tomorrow ! Here is the 18z NAM.
  10. Lol...Soon you will be posting about near drought conditions just like @Bubbler86 last year!
  11. Graupel was recently going on in Marysville!
  12. I don’t want strong wind again. I would like to keep the remaining part of my tree together!
  13. Good work! I did not think that I would see a PA snow map again until next Fall!
  14. How is the rain looking for tomorrow? My daughter has a softball game tomorrow evening. When are the showers forecast to end?
  15. I now officially hate these crazy wind events! I had 2 massive limbs come down from a large Maple tree in my backyard yesterday around 3:30 pm. Fortunately my 2 daughters were not home from school yet and the dog was not outside when it happened. There was no damage to the house and it missed the power lines. We were able to have a tree service come out and take care of it all this morning. It could have been much worse, but I will now be fearful of the next wind event!
  16. That’s probably true. I remember @psuhoffman mentioning that good October snow has happened so few times in our region that there is no way to say that it has any correlation with snow amounts in that particular season.
  17. Great! More wind...at least it will be cooling back off by Friday!
