lol You are correct, but what he was saying has implications for the whole area of New England in general region wide. Ofcourse we're all at the mercy of nuances that can't be predicted with any accuracy this far out, but as the old saying goes...we'll have our chances if it plays out the way he thinks.

Very True, but then again...we never really do. We didn't know Feb 15 was waiting for us/you either. No one would have thought that was waiting for us. Or Feb/March of 13? Or March of 18 for that matter. I guess that's part of the fun when you really think about it. If we knew the end result, it'd take a lot of the fun out of it. A lot of hyperbole in here this morning. As if 60's never happens in SNE/CNE in January?? As the records show it happens more than we think. Even in 2013 it got nice and toasty for a day or two(upper 50's/low 60's) at the end of January right before we snapped back into winter and then the Big-on came in. Yesterday we had Will talking about how good the 11-15 was looking(PNA ridging and all that good stuff); this morning it's back to the Panic Chamber. Guess we'll have to wait until 12z to lift everybody's spirits again.

Ya that's all BS most of the time in my opinion. That's a pretty pathetic situation especially for SNE since its only Jan 7th currently. And Not too many seasonal guys did all to well last year either with their calls. And that goes the same way when some of these people are saying a very good pattern/stretch is in the offing as well. Take with a grain of salt on both sides of the coin.

Hopefully we can turn the corner on this Crap pattern as you're alluding to.

Lol...it was the one run last night of the GFS that looked good, and the 2 runs off the Euro, and then The Canadian Nuke, and the talk of this being the more bonafide shortwave and decent airmass talk, that got everybody thinking it could happen...we could actually get a snow storm from this..... So now the GFS goes bad, and the Ukie and Euro go bad too...so it’s off the Tobin the masses go lmao! If it comes back at 18z or tomorrow sometime..everybody is back from the dead. Just how it works.

Completely correct on all of your above post. Shortwaves aren’t sampled fully yet...if it’s gonna look like crap, I’d rather it now than after the energies are fully on-shore. And if it does look like crap after it’s on shore...we’re all already checked out. It does resemble the 80’s though...everything starts out decent, and then goes to hell Quickly thereafter; that was the 80’s in a nutshell.

But you don’t ever use the FV3/GFS...? So it has to be wrong..right?
