I really don’t care if it rains here on the 25th..of course I’d love for it to be more wintry than that, but as long as Northern Maine stays cold and wintry...that’s my concern at this point...heading up for some sledding day after Xmas. 15 day 18z GFS run is hardly facts. I appreciate your candor and honest professional opinions all the time. So keep that coming...love the honest facts, not the constant busting all the time. But that’s just me.

Oh I got it Scott...and I agree with that idea about what happens when the cold is digging south first. But sometimes the constant innuendo’s of a warm binge is coming all the time is just as bad as the ACATT calls..that’s all.

A 15 day OP Run...geez Scott, I know you are really into trolling the weenies of late ( more so than I’ve ever seen you do), but does anybody really think even remotely seriously what a 15 day 18z GFS run shows more then two weeks from today??? I dont think anybody can possibly know what the 25th holds at this point...

That's very true. And I too appreciate it when the Pro's give their perspective..it's one of the big reasons why I am here, like a lot of people are. Lurker takes a lot of heat(and sometimes/many times it's self inflicted), but he's trying to learn and fit in, and while I didn't like the words he used to say what he did, I was able to see where he was coming from in one way. Anyway, back on topic; Too bad we are gonna miss out on this storm, was hoping we'd get a lil something :-(.

I agree with a lot of what you said above. And I hate the emoji generation and the way a lot of young kids now a days cannot write complete sentences as well...it's becoming a lost art for sure. And this is not a cut on Tip, But some of the wording is just very tough to get through at times. I think the guy is incredibly intelligent...and really knows his Atmospheric science; but it's almost to the point that it takes too much time to figure out what he's really trying to say. Will writes the same thing and you breeze right through it, and know exactly what he's talking about and you're good to go. I don't doubt at all that Tip is much more intelligent than I am...and more so than most folks for that matter. And I appreciate a good vocabulary and good grammar as much as the next person. I just find that some posts are a lil tough to get through/ figure out...when they don't necessarily have to be. But, to each their own.

I was on the other board then..and a supposed mastermind over there was chastising everybody who thought that the storm had a chance after a couple models showed it coming up. He was honking about the upper air pattern not supporting the storm turning the corner...lol he ended up eating some huge crow... Yes remember that too...

Oh I agree. But I’m glad to see that you used the phrase “in its Hay Day,” cuz it’s hay day imo has passed. They tweaked something and it’s not the same model since.

Everybody has their own opinions...it’s not the guru it once was imo. It’s dropped back a few notches since the upgrade. It Maybe the best model still ...but it’s not it’s old self.

Well just to bring up a couple of monster comebacks that were every bit as messed up as this...Boxing Day 2010-that was written off for gonzo days ahead. And Jan 15 was out to sea until the Euro run of 0z Early Saturday morning, and that storm was coming just a tad over two days later. So there have been comebacks that have been very surprising. Time will tell...at least it’s something to keep an eye on for a little while.

If this was the Euro from before the upgrade...I’d definitely give it much more consideration than now. That model is NOT the same model it was. And when it does “lock in” which is more rarely now...it’s wrong many times...so that doesn’t carry the weight it used to imo.
