  1. And even the NAM falls into line…a nice big drink tomorrow it looks like. Well we need it…….….said nobody ever.
  2. A disappointment….didn’t hold its strength all to well as we thought. Storm had about one day that was somewhat memorable…then it went downhill, and never recovered.
  3. Last season (the foliage)was spectacular here…a few years before that it was gorgeous too. Some years it isn’t as vivid, some it is. Lots of factors play in to that equation each year. I remember a few years back…it was so dry, it was predicted to be a horrible foliage year. But then in September we got some soaking rains, and that’s all it took for the trees to respond, and it ended up being a spectacular fall foliage year, despite the dire predictions due to the very dry summer.
  4. Ya saw that coming for a while…too far east in the end for you guys too. A yawner as is most(obviously not all) of the tropical up this way. Someday we’ll get a good one again, but for now the wait goes on.
  5. As long as it snows good this coming winter…who gives a F*ck! But that’s just me. It’ll look good again next fall.
  6. That’s because that dingbat with the pink hair was more concerned with showing her disdain for the USA, than doing her job.
  7. It’ll be lower intensity wise than expected by the time it gets to our latitude, and lower still by the time it gets to Down East Maine and N.S. Imo. She’s falling apart fast.
  8. This thing is falling apart faster than the Giants did Sunday night. Looks like trash.
  9. My grandfather said it looked like we were bombed after ‘38…trees snapped and cars flipped over everywhere, and buildings ripped open…this was New Britain, CT. And nobody knew it was coming…
  10. A headwind? Wouldn’t you have a tail wind heading east/NE? Jet stream flows west to east overall, no?
  11. So the Gustav winds here like in 02 are toast now….? I Kind of knew that was a pipe dream.
  12. It’s 18z…of course it’s west. Happens like clockwork every day. Don’t fall for it.
  13. If things don’t shift west some…I’d go to Eastport if it were me….that should be worth the drive, unless this thing really unravels over the next 24-36 hrs.
  14. Don’t waste your time and money unless this thing backs west some over the next 24 hrs. I think as currently forecast it’s still too far away from The Cape for the real goods. Drive to Eastport, Maine tomorrow…it’ll be worth a 7-8 hr drive to see the real show.
  15. Not denying it wouldn’t suck afterwards…but I’d take my chances. I think you’d be pretty excited if a big one was on the way, even knowing it would suck afterwards. I know I would.
  16. Lee had one Incredible day last Friday….that’s pretty much been it. Somewhat of a disappointment in regards to a powerful cane since then.
  17. Horrible that we are getting missed. Beautiful day on Saturday instead of the storm. Apologies if it was unclear lol.
