  1. Beginners fortune, that’s all. When there’s big snow on the line, I might defer to other more experienced thread starters… But this thing did deliver the goods…to places much further north than it was forecast to do.
  2. Dam, That arm of precip from the southeast off the Atlantic is trying to extend over to here. It’s still raining, and if that arm gets here…it’ll go for even longer. I told my girl it’ll be over by late morning, and sun will be out by noon…it’ll prove me wrong for sure now. WTF?
  3. We can use it though. This will be nice, unlike the blast furnace from the first week of September(hottest of the entire summer), that was absolutely miserable..upper 90’s and monster humidity. This will be so much nicer.
  4. I’m not gung ho, but I know it will be better than last years mess. It can’t possibly be any worse than the 12” I totaled last season. So in that regard, I’m looking forward to a much better season, so I take some comfort in that. I’d like to reach average this winter, which would seem huge after only getting to 12” last year. Currently, still raining.
  5. Agreed. Good points. BOX said 2-3 inches here. At 3” here already. So a bust there for them. Unless of course we get no more rain from this?
  6. But that’s why they(NWS) make the big bucks. Gotta step up when the call is difficult.
  7. Ya they did. It surged north. That was evident this morning as it just kept pushing on up.
  8. By tomorrow at noon sun should be out here I’m thinking…might be a fine weekend after all.
  9. Sorry boys. Thought a thread was worthy for a 4-6” rain event for a chunk of the forum. Next time I’ll let somebody else do the honors.
  10. Agreed. Maybe in NYC Metro area somebody hits 8 plus. Some areas there are already at 4 plus inches it sounds like.
  11. Walt Drag thinks from NYC over to LI, and north to the Hudson and over to the CT River is the big area of rain with 6” plus easily attainable. That From NYC forum.
  12. About 3.5”+ here on those. Thanks for posting Don. Interesting set up for tomorrow/tomorrow night that’s for sure.
  13. A lot of water no matter what….And the ground is saturated already from Mondays 3+ inches, along with all the rivers and streams being high.
