I grew up in Virginia Beach and only remember 2 years when we got slammed with snow. 1980 we ended up with over 40" for the year with it ending with the infamous early March blizzard. And 1989 we had back to back blizzards in February that dropped over a foot each time separated by a week. Other than those, we had a years with no snow or maybe a year with 2 to 6". I moved away in 1996.

Low of 29, high of 46. Breeze made it feel colder. No accumulated snow from last night.

At 2:30 pm we were at 49 when the light rain came in and temp has been dropping ever since. Currently 33 and drizzle with snow flurries mixed in.

Forecasted high 54, actual high 45. Clouds hung tight. Low was 31.

Unfortunately it rarely does. 

Another cold rainy day here. Only picked up .11" and the high was 45.

Cold rain yesterday. Had a high of 46 and picked up .90".

I did the same not realizing it's a new month.

Ended with 1.98" for the day. Temp sitting at 58. Waiting on the front to come through. 

Had a morning low of 38. Looks like more rain coming in on Friday.

Low of 38 this morning. High so far of 71 today. After the 2 days with highs in the upper 40's, 71 feels very warm.

Temp dropped to 29 early yesterday evening, then rose to 37 by midnight before dropping to our low of 28. Nice hard freeze as temp stayed below freezing for a good solid 6 hours. I really hate living so close to the water this time of the year.

Temp is fluctuating again. Temp dropped to 29 and now at just before 11 pm it is up to 34. Supposed to see low to mid 20's here. We will see.

Temps fluctuated last night. Dropped to 30 by 1:30 am. Then rose to 35 by 4:00 am before dropping again to 28 by 6:00 am. Got above freezing by 8:00 am.  Light frost due to temp fluctuation but our first frost and temp in the 20's. Not sure if that would considered a hard freeze or not.

Temp soared up to 80 today and it felt like it. Looking forward to the much colder air coming in.

High of 76 today. Just picked up .19" in the last hour.

Picked up .12" yesterday morning. Another .12" this morning and then had a surprise thunderstorm this evening drop .39". This puts me at 1.44" for the month.

Last year the cold didn't come until the end of the month. I had my 1st frost and freeze on the 30th. Had a light freeze the other morning but still waiting on my 1st hard freeze.

Forecasted low of 36, actual 33. No idea if we had frost as I didn't get out of bed until 8.

I saw Josh's post on Facebook. He got into the inner eyewall of Melissa with a lowest pressure of 927 mb. He has a detailed analysis of it if you wish to read it. The storm slacked just enough to claim he hit the edge of the eye.

Forecasted low of 50, actual low of 37. They missed that one by a mile.

Hit 74 here. Dew points in the low 50's made for a really nice day. No breeze did mean mosquitoes though.

Our low was 34 at 4 am and the temps been rising ever since. 11 am and it's up to 53 already. Yesterday had a high of only 48 with full sunshine.
