I just checked some weathers stations that are not sheltered and am seeing 60 to 70 mph gusts. Unreal

Holy crap what a storm. Winds were from the south at easily 20 to 30 mph then switch to the north at 30 to 40 mph and probably even stronger. Lots of large limbs down in my yard. Power flickering constantly. Most intense storm we have had a in years. Temp now down to 51 from a high of 79.
note: My weather station recorded a high gust of 34 mph and is in a bit sheltered position.

Low of 59, high an awful 87. Lost the fight, AC is on.
-
High of 85, low of 54. Still no AC. House cools off really nice at night with the ceiling fans on. One more warm day to go.
-
Ended up with a very satisfying .89" for yesterday. Low of 59. House cooled down nicely. AC still off.
-
Had some nice thunderstorms today. First ones of the year. Nothing severe thankfully. Had a high of 84 before the storms rolled in. Our current temp of 64 is also our low for the day. Picked up .75" total.

We hit 82 yesterday. Amazingly, I didn't have to turn on the AC.

My only beef with March and April variability is that my sinuses can’t take the delayed, slow drag through pollen season. If it were warm this next week and into the extended range, we’d rip the bandaid off.
As long as we get regular rains, the pollen is controlled. Dry spell at the wrong time and it's miserable.

-
Looks like we won't see a cool down until almost mid month.
-
Another A+ here. Below normal temps for January and most of February plus an incredible 18" of snow and near blizzard conditions along with possibly the lowest temp I have recorded in decades at 11°. What a winter.

Hit 78 today. 5 degrees warmer than forecasted. Dew points around 50 made for a nice day. Allergies are acting up.

Low of 39 this first morning of March. Already 69 at 11:30. Low 70's today, low 50's tomorrow then 70's from Wednesday to the 12th at least. Weeds are growing, trees starting to bud. Spring is arriving quickly.

Wow! In terms of light freezes, KSAV has had them as late as April 16th! But that 32 was way back during a colder era, 1962. However, we’ve much more recently in early April had 2 light freezes in 2007 and even a 32 on April 3rd just 5 years ago!
We hit 30 that morning. Much of NC away from the coastal areas were in the 20's on that morning.

I had to go back to 2021 to find an April freeze. Most of NC had a hard freeze back early April of 2021.

Ehhh, below normal in mid to late March is not that bad. For my area I'd be shocked if we get below 30 again until end of the year.
I know that we have had hard freezes in March, usually early to mid, before so I don't count out the 20s until the end of the month.
