  1. A surprise line of severe storms popped up last right at sunset. Strong gusty winds hit from the outflow but the worst of the storm missed us. We did manage to pick up .15" from and a big temp drop from the low 70's to the upper 50's. Bottomed out this morning at 49. Currently just after 1 pm it is a very pleasant 68/40.

  2. Posted this in wrong thread. This was for March 31.

Warm today. High of 86, highest of the year, dew points in the low 50's made it a little bit uncomfortable.

    End of month stats:

    Highest temp: 86

    Lowest temp: 36

    Highest dew point: 67

    Lowest dew point: 19

    Rainfall: 8.16"

Pretty significant bust of a rainfall forecast. The heaviest rain ended up west of the US 1 corridor. 2-3” west of wake. We have 1.55” (about 3/4”-1” below the forecast) and areas east of here have only .5”-1” so 2-3.5” below what was forecast. There will be some light additional rain but the flood threat looks to have passed and the only warning from this event is in chapel hill

I am up to 1.96" and still raining. Still below what was expected but we are getting close.

  4. We have gone from a 60% chance down to a 40% chance for tonight and Sunday night from 70 to 50 as of today. So much pollen in the air and on the cars and ground.  Was really hoping for a good rain to wash it all away. Now looks like we will have to wait until next weekend.
