Picked up .12" yesterday morning. Another .12" this morning and then had a surprise thunderstorm this evening drop .39". This puts me at 1.44" for the month.

Last year the cold didn't come until the end of the month. I had my 1st frost and freeze on the 30th. Had a light freeze the other morning but still waiting on my 1st hard freeze.

Forecasted low of 36, actual 33. No idea if we had frost as I didn't get out of bed until 8.

I saw Josh's post on Facebook. He got into the inner eyewall of Melissa with a lowest pressure of 927 mb. He has a detailed analysis of it if you wish to read it. The storm slacked just enough to claim he hit the edge of the eye.

Forecasted low of 50, actual low of 37. They missed that one by a mile.

Hit 74 here. Dew points in the low 50's made for a really nice day. No breeze did mean mosquitoes though.

Our low was 34 at 4 am and the temps been rising ever since. 11 am and it's up to 53 already. Yesterday had a high of only 48 with full sunshine.

Temp dropped to 31 this morning. Stayed at or below 32 for 1.5 hours. No evidence of snow or flurries that I have heard for our area. 

Had a high of 68 just after midnight and a low of 49 which is our current temp. Dew point has dropped to 33.

Hit 78 here today. Picked up .09" yesterday and .02" this morning.

Colors are really starting to pop out here except for the Bradford Pears which usually come later anyway but the colors are much earlier than last year.

I think Josh said he was in the right eyewall. But I don’t think he was in the eye itself.

The jog to the west right before landfall caused him to miss the eye. Looking forward to his analysis when he gets back from the Philippines. I was hoping another chaser nailed the eye.

Haven't read everything on here or if this topic was discussed but did any of the storm chasers there get the eye?

My maples are dropping their leaves quickly while other trees are still holding onto the green. Seems like only maples right now.

Tuesday mornings low is getting colder and colder as we get closer. Looks like we could get a hard freeze if it gets any colder.

Another perfect day here. Low of 44, high of 68. Dew point around 40 all day with just a slight breeze.

Looking at mid 30's for us next week. Could be our first frost and freeze if it runs colder. That is early for us. Usually doesn't get that cold until 3rd or 4th week of November.

Cool and rainy day here. Low of 51, high of 60. Picked up .42" today and .09" yesterday. Sun managed to come out after 3 pm.

Another low of 39, high of 67. Clouds have moved on. Just waiting on the rain.

Our first time in the 30's this fall. Hit a low of 39. Another beautiful day here. High of 69.

Absolutely gorgeous day here for the last day of October. Low of 46, high of 68. Dew points in the mid 40's.

After 3 days of clouds and drizzle the sun finally came out. Ended up with 1.26" for the 3 days. Warmed up to 71 today.

Another cloudy drizzly day here. Storm total is 1.13" with today's total so far at .21". High was only 61 after yesterday's high of 58.
