    As light and powdery this snow is I don't believe there has been any compaction. 15" I believe cause it was still snowing hard down there at 7 am.

    That was at 7 am according to channel 12. Areas around New Bern could have easily gotten more. I am pretty sure I did. But no way to accurately measure it.

    Down here in New Bern was officially at 12". Morehead was 13" officially at 7 am. Those reports of 2 to 3 feet are false. People really don't know how to measure snow properly. The drifts make it impossible to measure accurately.

    Last I checked, Timmerman was in Jacksonville, NC and getting hammered.

    Still coming down good here. Cleared a spot for my little pup to pee and had to re clear it 3 hours later. Battery powered leaf blower does a decent job. Easy 8 to 10" here.

    What an ending to January. High was just after midnight at 30 and our low is 19, our current temp. We have 8 to 10 inches of snow on the ground with 2 to 3 foot drifts. More snow on the way. Monthly stats: Highest temp: 75 Lowest temp: 18 Highest dew point: 68 Lowest dew point: 6 Rainfall: 1.9" Snowfall: To be determined. Probably an easy 10" with more after midnight.

    19 degrees and 8 to 10 on the ground with even deeper drifts. Snowing moderately. Used a leave blower to clear a path for our little pup.

    Down to 21 here and about 4 to 6 inches here. Hard to tell with the drifting. Shoveled a small walkway to the grass for our little pup. She hates snow. The snow very powdery. Moderate snow continues.

    23 and heavy snow. Grass totally covered. Interestly, about a dozen small birds have made my covered patio their home.

    Heavy blowing snow just SE of New Bern. Maybe 1/2 at the moment. Hard to tell with the blowing. Visibility down to 1/4 mile At the most

    I can verify. Snowing hard now. Big flakes. ground starting to get covered. Currently 25. Wind chill is getting brutal.

    Light fluffy snow here. Only showing up on concrete and bare areas of the yard. 26 degrees and breezy. Snow visibly been blown down the street.
