damn, that just looks brr... Looking forward to the new gondola and spending more days at the Woods this winter!

It was a frigid opening day for sure - 14 for a high. The gondola was moving but only the Zephyr quad was open; looks like they were working on a lot more terrain, I'm hoping that gondola will be actually open soon!!!

You had 2”.  Its the highest depth... makes no difference if you went to sleet, or the temp went to 60F and it melted in minutes, lol....if you had 2” of snow at some point, that’s your snow total.  Inevitably it’s all going to melt anyway at some point...whether that 2” is there for 3 months or only an hour doesn’t matter.

I've had the same thought as Gene... there are times when it's impossible to know - I'm not getting up at 3 am to measure, so if it snows all night then changes to rain at 4 am, I won't know what the real snowfall was. But it's just for fun anyways...

Yeah it’s cold.  Been upper teens all day here at 1,500ft.

I see MVL has snuck up into the low 20s....it’s only 5F colder at 1pm than our normal minimum temp this time of year!  lol.

Everyone is going to think it’s an Indian Summer if we warm back up to normal!  Highs in the 40s are normal right now, these temps are the cold equivalent of a high of 65-70F right now up here.

Just slipped into the teens here too. The icicles add to the wintry appeal lol

I never see rabbits.  Very cool

It’s technically a snowshoe hare. They are huge and there are tons of them. And this time of the year they switch color from brown to white which is cool to see! In mid winter they are pure white.

Looks like it's ripping on your cam and won't stop until the system passes and your upslope stops.

What's your pack? Looks like deep winter there.

It’s not that deep, we’ve had a lot of melting and the ground below is not really frozen. My stake was down to about 3” today

Snowing more heavily than I was expecting tonight. P&C says we switch to freezing rain for a few hours though, so totals are not expected to go over 6” or so

  6. I'm terrified of T bars lol. Even though I'm a decent skier I just hate them. They are tiring and I'm constantly thinking I'm gonna fall. Part of it is that growing up in Italy there were some pretty gnarly T Bars there. As a kid I was pretty scarred by them lol.
