This weather reminds me of upslope. Heavy shower, broken clouds, drizzle, shower, and so on.

Speaking of gondolas, it's been fun to watch them put in the new gondola at Bretton Woods. It's a lot of work! I'm generally not a fan of gondolas for skiing but it will be nice to have the extra lift. Also, the bears are out of control. 4 sightings today just next to my house including one with 3 cubs

P&C has a low of 40F tonight. Temperature has been slow to drop with the wind, but I wonder if we could make it into the 30s if it decouples. Either way, quite the change in airmass.

It's one thing I love about living here. We get crisp nights even in the middle of summer, and it can feel fallish in the middle of July. ❤️ it

Yesss, we did it! What a day. Went for a swim at the Mt Washington- so hard to schedule anything with the kids but would love to come to the lake sometime. It was great to enjoy the pool there with some real summer temps though... doesn’t happen too often. Felt very “vacation-y”

89.8! DP is in the 50’s so it actually feels great out. Gorgeous day. Rooting for 90, would be my first since moving here!

I was actually just doing a walk around with my new landscape designer, and I was showing him the various burnt up annuals that I planted, and he mentioned that annuals are really a challenge here in general. Could do fine, but he said that some years this area experience occasional frosts throughout the summer, so that sensitive plantings will look awful all summer long - get burned, recover, get burned. He's pushing for all native plantings which makes sense. They can take a this "on and off" growing season without any problems.

Lol. That's actually my unheated greenhouse. Needless to say, heat has been on in the house.

Another 32F low this morning. On that note, I had a meeting with a landscape designer early in the week who knows the area well, and said my spot is the absolute coldest around here and I should stick to zone 2-3 plantings, anything above that is doomed. She said it's the combination of being a low spot in a high elevation and the river. Yey me, nothing grows!

Nah. He was just trying to be helpful and clean the grill. Our bears are very helpful critters. In Boston tonight. Feels sweltering down here compared to home. Got upgraded to the Presidential Suite at the Sheraton; holy cow it's bigger than our house lol
