Wild afternoon. We had a sudden deluge, crazy wind, and went from 52 to heavy snow in about an hour!

First Halloween with kids up here, and living in Bretton Woods, not many options so we went down to Lincoln and it was AWESOME. A whole section of town is closed off and all the neighbors are out. Awesome decorations, fog machines, music and trick or treaters everywhere. It's like a Halloween block party. Really impressed, way better than it was when I lived in Mass. Unfortunately it was also cold and wet. -

On and off flurries all day here but it's really cold. Temperature has been holding around 32-33 all day. What happened to my warmup? Mountains look really beautiful though, with ice rime levels very low, 2500 ft or so

A dusting of microflakes this morning

So far, complete dud up here. Some light drizzle/sleet and occasional flakes and that's about it. 1/10" of slush. Roads are slippery though... saw a pretty bad accident on Rt 3 on my way back from Jefferson.

Yes the cloud deck was definitely low - I noticed lots of cracking at ski resort level too, which is quite low. It seems to be about 2500 ft up. But the blue sky definitely completed it.

I made a similar observation in the NNE thread but it's only 630 and we are already down to 26; cold evening for sure -
Temps are really plummeting tonight. Down to 26 already. I think it's the coldest evening we've had so far.

Another dusting this morning then it cleared out. Now this! -
I thought you'd have been colder today. Our high was 32.9 early this morning but it's been below freezing most of the day, with 27F now. Not much precip but definitely no issue sticking.

Picked up about 2/10" so far in tonight's light snow. Not much but feels special this time of the year lol. 27/16

Snow has picked up here with a fresh dusting, temp down to 28.9/19.8. Feels like mid-winter for sure.

It's ridiculously cold. 31.8 with occasional snow showers. Interesting that the slight difference in elevation that makes my location so cold in radiational cooling also made a difference in this storm. We have just some very patchy coverage left and the hotel just down the street is still pretty decently covered.

I like this idea! I wonder if it would be possible to have a setting that automatically deletes anything more than 3 months old or similar...
