  1. We’re back this morning, baby!! The miss to the south would be in keeping with tradition but I’d guess this just trends warmer.
  2. But some variability here. Between the Canadian, American, and European models it’s either the northeast, mid Atlantic, or upper south that gets the goods. I’ll tell you who ain’t getting the goods though. I’m no expert but no signs of anything favorable for us. Eager to be shown otherwise!
  3. The doldrums are northwest flow and tundra life. With warm temps on the horizon, it’s rather uplifting.
  4. I was told there would be better winter weather opportunities ahead. Are we banking on an April surprise? .
  5. https://x.com/nilwxreports/status/2018333193288434115?s=46 Finally we get a break!
  6. The Euro ensemble snow mean through mid month is…not great.
  7. If we can’t have a good snow, let’s at least get a salt washer.
  8. Could be looking at a reload for them later this month. March is ours y’all.
  9. Places in Georgia made our early December snow appear rather pedestrian. I mean last year it was down to Florida so I guess things are trending better. Wild times.
  10. Gonna be an ugly first week. Threading needles for dusters. .
  11. GFS has a good looking pattern coming up for places east of the Mississippi…up and down the coast. For us it’s an @A-L-E-K special.
  12. I was a disbeliever but have seen the light. These are the best quality flakes since the famous storm of Early December 2025.
  13. Damn is this what it like to be a south and east laker? No wonder you guys love deep winter.
  14. Some classic near misses, dying energy, and systems finding life to our east. But hope springs eternal.
  15. At least we get some good looks even if they fade away in the near term. Can’t wait for a warm April. .
  16. So much run to run variability. Feast and famine.
  17. I say just ask the questions…who cares if you seem like a wishcaster? There’s no hierarchy here but certainly there’s some really smart people here to learn from. There’s nothing to learn from me unfortunately - unless it’s related to medicine. I’ve wondered the same and from what I’ve gathered it’s incredibly tenuous because of the number of variables involved and the models being subject to timing and positional errors. You need the high latitude blocking, proper jet stream configuration, higher amplitude shortwaves, and other “stuff” beyond my scope. But the stars have to align a bit. .
