  1. I think worst will stay south of me, not to say i won't get something out of it, but i have a feel the more severe stuff will be south.
  2. wouldn't surprise me if we get long lead warnings with the line.
  3. need the clearing to happen soon, 68/65 at home right now
  4. Yeah, they are all over the derecho potential. i like it.
  5. SPC all but said the word derecho in their outlook. I wouldn't rule it out, at least a long lived squall dropping south out of the PA/Ohio area. Pitt WFO is doing a special sounding today.
  6. from the SPC outlook the air mass will remain favorably unstable/buoyant to support damaging-wind-producing thunderstorms riding the frontal baroclinic/instability gradient, potentially all the way to the Chesapeake Bay region. can any one guess what that could mean?
  7. widespread wind damage, tornado stuff seems better further north.
  8. furniture was delivered Friday, my chair and a half is so big and i love it. painting in the foyer should hopefully be done this week. we have a friend who has been coming over in the evenings after his own day job to help us out, since he has the ladders and expertise to paint a two story foyer, do some dry wall fixing for us, and install a new foyer light. then its on to decorating! we have had nothing on the walls and it will be five years in the house this summer. Ordered a 1800 map of the Chesapeake Bay shorelines, 16x20 in size that I will be framing and putting up. Plus a few other odds and ends so far. Ideally we just want one major picture wall with lots of things on it, different colors/frame styles, etc. I'm really excited about the idea to do it. so may be a while before pics gets posted as its a work in progress still.
  9. Looks like mine -- chicken wire around the whole thing to keep the deer/rabbits out. Super pumped about my new space. 10x10 area out in the yard. We have used the spot as a burn pit too for brush and the like, so the soil should be really awesome. Tilled it all up, laid down the weed paper, then cut out the holes for the plants. Planted: 2 cucumber plants, 2 types of tomatoes, 2 bell peppers (green and orange), zucchini, sugar baby watermelon and spaghetti squash. Really looking forward to taking care of this baby this year. I've wanted a nice garden space since we moved in, but just hadn't found the time to make it happen. It was my number one thing to tackle this spring and I think it turned out great.
  10. sounding for my backyard at 21z per the NAM. Small CAP in place, but plenty of CAPE to work with. LI is pretty low too.
  11. 06z NAM still advertising the same. Nice line dropping south out of PA 21z-00z
  12. Had some penny sized hail last night when the PA complex moved south into MD. Another storm overnight around 4am
  13. Overcast this morning after some overnight storms came through.
  14. i missed out yesterday both to the north and south. but had some really good views of the storms in PA as they went by. Enhanced for me tomorrow.
  15. i love my Davis VP2 I also got the data link, so i can pull my station up from wunderground, and an app for my phone so I can see what's up at home without having to go to wunderground.
  16. been working on updating the living room for a little bit now. new furniture arrives this week. finishing up painting each night this week, as well as our two story foyer. so excited!
  17. moved about 60 concrete cylinders that are 1x0.5 from around our pool area to hardscape a garden space out in the yard a couple weekends ago (the nice 80 degree Saturday). Going to use it as a brush pile/burn pit during off growing season. Trimmed trees for spring and burned it all last weekend. Going to till it all up this weekend. Need to put a fence around to keep the deer/rabbits out and all plants go in Mothers Day weekend. I am so excited to finally have a real hardscaped plot in the yard for a garden. I've been planting things in random places where I can find space, or in containers on the deck.
