  1. Oh warm air aloft is part of what I was referencing. Have had so, so many setups get killed by it these past few years
  2. Surely this time it won't be warmer than predicted. Like for once it has to be accurate or maybe colder right?
  3. Would love it to be just a little more S/E. Dallas proper so close to real snow!
  4. It's maps like this that make me think whoever controls the weather is messing with DFW specifically
  5. Someone in the other thread mentioned a NW shift with the GFS. Seems to be a trend with the increased cold/moisture. Wouldn't get hopes up quite yet (though will agree this is the most interesting setup in years)
  6. It might hit 80 here in Dallas today. We haven't gone more than two months without an 80 degree day since summer began
  7. Well if the models are showing snow in TX then there's probably a 30% chance the snow makes it as far south as northern Kansas. Who knows!
  8. Might hit 80 tomorrow and then snow Wednesday. Peak Dallas weather. On a related note, NWS shifted precip southeast but I'm trying not to get my hopes up lol
  9. I feel your pain. Dallas is on track to have its 5th wettest January on record. We've had a whopping 0.2 inches of snow, which is 2/3rds of what has fallen since March of 2015. And now (of course) we're entering a dry period during the peak season for snowfall here. An utter disaster
  10. 39 degrees and raining is so on brand for DFW the last 5 years. Quickly running out of time for a more meaningful snow event
  11. Well at least it has been cold here! Was worried that we'd be hot all through next October for a brief moment
  12. Ended up breaking that recore with an official high of 81. Last 80 or above day was November 19th so we didn't even go two months before we ended up back in what's normally May/June weather. Hopefully not a preview of things to come for summer
  13. Officially recorded 0.2 inches of snow at DFW. Beat last January's 0.1 inches and is the most snow since March of 2015
  14. Tiny sleet pellets in far north Dallas EDIT: Reports of thundersnow up in Frisco. Of course I have a work thing until noon so no opportunity to chase
  15. Gonna be in the 80s next week in parts of North Texas per FWD. No wintry weather for the forseeable future unless we get a miracle this morning. Didn't know it was possible for a winter to be worse than the last 4 but here we are
  16. Looks like we're in for another cold rain event late next week for DFW per the AFD. Can hardly wait...
  17. March 4th-5th of that year was the last one. Funnily enough it was the 4th largest 24 hour snowfall in March at DFW on record. Not the kind of thing that you would expect to kick off a record snow drought
