Down to 7.

Some flurries now with the sun poking through the clouds.
Also found some black ice, not by choice, in the parking lot at my sons pre-k. Be careful out there.
-
Of course this over performs on rain.
Mid construction on new roof, tarps failed and I now have a literal rain storm in my dining room. Bucket brigade in effect.

Winter wonderland outside my office. Moderate snow continues.

Snow came in like a wall at the office in Basking Ridge at 12:45.

To my untrained eye, the radar seems juiced, it looks like she wants to head due north to Michigan.
Not sure I love that angle of trajectory for much, if any, snow in the area.
Rooting for those fronto-maps, posted above, to pan out!

Flipped to mostly snow in chester after a mix started at 8:00 am. Large parachutes now.

Please elaborate.
Not sure what he’s commenting on, dudes dynamic. That performance yesterday was all guts, even assuming they numbed his ankle at the half.
Kelcie on the other hand looks like he could do with a dose of humility, but he backs it up on the field.

You want a prediction about the weather? It’s going to be cold, it’s going to be dark, and it’s going to last you for the rest of your lives.
.Many on this board might be too young to know that quote.

Woke up to a bit more than a dusting here in Chester.

1 degree now. A few areas to the west (long valley) have -1 per wunderground. Not sure how accurate.
-
All area stations are at 2; just took the dog out. It’s not bad, but for the wind.

Down to 30 here in Chester.

Albany snowfall records since the 1880s. I believe their average since then is about 60-65 inches

I was in Albany for college and post grad from 2001-08; not too many ratters in the bunch. Seemed like it could snow almost daily during the winter at times.
2002/2003 winter was epic. I remember mountains of snow and an unlucky car that was left in the same parking spot all winter, encased in a glacier that blew out the back springs; that was before a front end loader ripped the back of the car off.

Finished with an 1.5” at home. Flipped to light rain.

Had a burst of snow at the office in Basking Ridge, now a mix.

Per wunderground 33/26 in Chester with light snow.
At the office, basking ridge, looks grey out the window. No precip.

I’ve got 32 with a noticeable east wind. I’m not expecting much, but 1-2” would be nice. For reference I am about dead center between Route 80 and 78 sitting at 750’ asl.
Last storm was an initial burst, followed by mostly mix/rain; ended with a car topper. My brother in Hamburg ended up with 2.5-3”.

The increase in number of 50+ degree days is very, very telling. It’s also much greater than I would’ve anticipated, that’s a huge jump.
Your passion for snow is evident, but don’t you live at or near Tom’s River?
That’s not exactly a cold locale for NJ in the winter. You might need to move northwest.

I think we got down to 2 on Christmas Eve. Winds are still gusting but have slackened off compared to before.
