Getting a decent storm out this way. Lightening, thunder, rain. No winds though.
Rain will help cut down on the pollen, the air was choked with it before.

Hi @ForestHillWx-
I see Rutgers just installed a new obs. network site in Chester. Anywhere near your location. Kind of nice to have an official site in your home town.
Not far at all, maybe 3 miles as the crow flies.
I recently saw it, didn’t know it was an official site. Good to know.

Curious to see how fast we warm up today; yesterday was raw. Never made it above 54 degrees and with occasional drizzle while mowing the yard.
Though, it was a good day for the fire pit to start burning all of the downed sticks/limbs in the yard from the winter.

Temp inversion in this area, multiple readings from the weather stations in the lower lying areas at 30/31; up on top of the hill it’s 35.

Buddy was hiking near Boonton and said the woods made some eerie sounds dung the aftershock.

We are in Chester, about 12 miles north west of the epicenter.
My wife called me very panicked as she did not know what it could be. We lost a few pictures and some of the window treatments broke.

Currently 24 with strong winds gusting at times.
Easily cracked 3”; hoping to see if Walt links to the cocorahs maps later.

We are getting tremendous amounts of rain down this way in northwest Jersey; about to crack 2”.
I can only imagine that unloads on you all further northeast.

Heaviest of the storm at the moment. Rivers running through my back yard.

Beast of a storm coming, too bad it’s wet and not white for us. Up north is going to get pounded.

Driving home today along 80 west the Passaic is already over its banks in Fairfield between Two Bridges and Horseneck Road. Would anticipate that 2-3” on top would put it back into major flood stage.

23 here, now I feel bad raking out old leaves from a few of the garden beds. Hopefully emerging plants won’t burn too much.

Snowed here. Dusting on cars/grass/patio furniture. That’s 3 nights in a row.

Snow flurries here, 30. Evidence of sleet on the porch roof.

Elevation dependent snow showers before. Came home tonight to find the truck, yard and roof caked in white.

That had some decent gusts with it. Many limbs down in the area. So far, power has held up.

Moderate sleet out this way.

Tremendous gathering of robins in the brush at my property. They are looking at the snow cover and wondering…
I love winter and prolonged snow cover, but the influx of robins are usually a harbinger that spring is upon us.

24/11 with some light wind. Cold.

Squalls missing to my southwest. Looks like winter out there.

Happy for those to our south. The brick call north of 78 held that fronto forcing in place.
On second glance it looks like 2” here; one final burst coming from our northwest.
Everything caked in white and perfect to wake up to.

28/16 in Chester, NJ. Clouds have moved in, the moon has a faint look to it.

Earthquake was stronger than the aftershocks we had been getting. Lasted about 5 seconds.
This was the closest to my house yet.
