Cooled off quick when the clouds moved in. Was almost a spring teaser in south Jersey while down there for work.
-
Flipped from freezing mist to light snow now. This makes up for Friday.
-
I thought it was winter cancel time? No? (Heavy sarc).

I’d prefer if freeze up quickly. I have enough water in the basement from this thaw.
Temp is 33; over 1” of rain since the onset. Piles of snow, some spotty cover on the grass.

9 here. Keep racking up single digit lows.
The Jersey City reservoir was completely iced over on Sunday; first time I recall that happening in a few years.
-
5 currently. This January has had more single digit low temps for my house than I can remember; lasting cold spell. Past winters I have dipped sub-zero, but quickly bounced back with the temps.

About 4.5” now, light to occasionally moderate snow. Temp down to 14.
Personal best at our house in Chester NJ was January 16…legit 33”.

Down to 14/11, light snow continues.
-
Getting a decent push now in western north Jersey, nothing close to out East but we never were expecting all that much

Light/moderate snow, 3.5” down. Trying for that weenie band in central NJ extending somewhat north.
-
1.5” new out this way.
-
Moderate snow here in the western outposts. Maybe 1” new.
-
Nice light snow fall. Peaceful.
Side note, with the cold temps I’ve lost count of how many days of snow cover the yard has been under; sneaky winter look for the month it seems.

Light snow chester. Came home from work to at least 1.5” on the driveway from this mornings effort.

The models for the week+ continue to show a hard cut-off by me. The 700 map shows some incredible forcing; to the west of that should be some good sucker hole. I expect to be in the subsidence zone.

Trout is such a weenie
Someone should link the forum in a tweet to him. Who knows, maybe he’s already amongst us?

Light to occasional moderate snow, fine flakes. .25” and counting.

@North and West I think 4-6/6-8 for Morris County, lower totals out my way. Plowable likely.
I have .25” now, with light snow. I’ll be honest that I didn’t see this morning snizzle.

For we in the north and west, impressive moves in the most recent runs, yet the inner weenie screaming inside can’t help but notice the 20” drop off from NYC out to Bridgewater on the NAM. I mean, that’s about 25 miles as the crow flies; highlights the sharp-cut off that has been modeled for days. Oh well you guys East are going to get crushed!!!
I want to see a “mother of god” post; it’s been too long.
….back to containing the weenie thoughts internally.

Walts been noticeably absent from the discussion. I hope he’s ok and just overwhelmed with working this storm.

I’m at 4. This is the 3rd time this month bottoming out at 4; thought I had a shot at sub-zero, maybe next cold shot.

What I can’t understand is everyone lambasting the Euro for showing a snowier solution. What about tossing the GFS for being a strung out mess or the Ukie for that matter?
All models have strengths, and weaknesses but they aren’t gospel; they are just tools.
-End rant.

I'm just gonna hang out here. The NYC forum must look like a bar in Buffalo this past Sunday night.
Toaster baths for most; borderline unreadable.
