  1. This dangerous storm will be near... Phillipston around 450 PM EDT. Templeton around 455 PM EDT. Gardner and Winchendon around 500 PM EDT. Westminster and Ashburnham around 510 PM EDT.
  2. Today looks brutal. Quick launch to 90. Ugh...
  3. 325 PM | A spotter west of Salem reports the temperature has dropped from 113°F to 102°F in the last hour as the marine air keeping temperatures down around Eugene and Corvallis spreads northeastward into the central Willamette Valley. #pdxtst #orwx
  4. No one should be expecting 50s that is record cold territory.
  5. Not quite sure why Canadians are putting up with it. I have a couple customers who are both Canadian citizens you wouldn't believe the hoops they had to jump through to go up for a couple weeks.
  6. Winter moths got the maples around here a couple years ago. Ate every last leaf but thankfully it was early in the year so they recovered.
  7. Where are you getting low 50's for highs?
  8. You're going to love the Tetons. If you have the time take a raft down the snake river. Few pics from my trip:
  9. Did you go through the Lamar valley? One of the prettiest places on Earth.
  10. I'm not sure he still is an ace . He has one of the biggest declines in spin rates since the new rules. At least the Red Sox only wasted 10 million on Richards.
  11. I wonder what it feels like to put a match to 324 million dollars?
  12. Really something to tell your grandchildren about not a 96 at Logan.
  13. Meanwhile in the Atlantic Northeast a fine evening. Doesn't get much better...
  14. I think you may have helped me solve a mystery I have wondered about for years. Not 75 ft from that tree is a 12 ft in circumference elm tree untouched by Dutch elm. I think it may be the nutrients. Both trees were in an area of predominantly black locust trees. I know black locust s are nitrogen fixers maybe that had something to do with it?
  15. Weird that you mention . I have split literally thousands of oak trees and had never seen one where the rings were so large. It wasn't in a very wet area so I was kind of surprised. Maybe somebody's buried under the stump
  16. You know your trees the grain is almost perfect.
  17. Regardless, dewpoints in the 65 to 70 range will make it feel humid. The one thing that will make it more tolerable is that Bufkit indicates good mixing with southwest wind gusts of 20-25 mph during the afternoon. Tolerable is better than nothing.
  18. Red oak, sugar maples nearby. https://youtu.be/hUpsiVKIJ3c
  19. Thankfully most of the day was drizzly and cool.
  20. You should have thrown a fit. I'm from Massachusetts!
  21. Why don't you grab some heat stroke while you're at it.
  22. In fact, dewpoints will drop into the upper 30s/lower 40s later this morning which is quite unusual for late June. High pressure building in will result in plenty of sunshine developing. 925T will only be around +14C later today, which will keep afternoon high temperatures in the middle to upper 70s in most locations. High pressure building in will weaken the gradient this afternoon, which may allow for localized sea breezes to develop. Nonetheless, a beautiful day with low humidity which will make it feel quite comfortable outdoors. Your grandchildren will be asking about the early summer of '21
