  1. Effing pouring. This blows .
  2. How many times are we going to have to tell you not to use a 210 hour operational model output? And the 18 z to boot. You're looking down the barrel of a five post.
  3. In other words, absolutely useless warmth.
  4. Careful you're out of model hour compliance. But yeah , it almost looks like summer when we would get the same thing every weekend.
  5. Why don't you fellas have some fun with this? The get together is on Wednesday. Closest to guessing the top gust at Hartford drinks for free. Careful with your pick ! We seem to have an abundance of booze bags on here. Not to mention the drug addled...
  6. We again saw an uptick in this storm system`s lower-level southeasterly wind field, which will contribute both to the potential for strong SE/S gusts but also transport an anomalous plume of deep moisture from the subtropics supporting the risk for at times heavy rains. Those changes resulted in an increase in winds and also rainfall with this update. We also noted that the peak storm surge for the South Coast may take place just before the Monday noontime high tide, although the timing is still uncertain and will make or break the coastal
  7. John, you know what they say about green bananas at our age. Holds true for firewood.
  8. That's all they got. Unless you like strong breezes and rain.
  9. They seem worried. Nws "Another pleasant day is in store for Saturday with above normal temperatures and a mix of clouds and sun! Conditions deteriorate late Sunday into Monday as an efficient rainmaker brings drenching precipitation and gusty winds to southern New England."
  10. This will be another dynamic system with a negative tilt trough and a robust low level jet leading to anomalous PWATs and heavy rain potential for SNE. 100 member GEFS/EPS/GEPS ensemble indicating 40-60% probs of rainfall > 2 inches and even getting 10- 20 percent probs of 3+ inches. This represents the 90th percentile of the ensemble distribution which is close to 3 inches QPF. This I believe.
  11. What's east of Eastern Connecticut?
  12. What was your top gust from last week's storm? Had to be below 80.
  13. I don't know, everything seems to have a hard slice and be headed for the trees the past couple years.
  14. Sunday / Monday looks to bring the wood yard rain total to over 60 inches. I hate effing rain.
  15. How long we've been hearing that tale?
  16. Mine is calling for partly cloudy. I got to get a new phone...
  17. Definitely in the top five of coldest that I remember. Decided I would be the first one on the lift at Burke mountain. I seriously considered jumping off after about 200 ft. Rode the lift back down.
  18. It's actually been a decent season for firewood sales. Starting to get refills now which is a little early. That's what a continuous shoulder season will do. Why fire up the furnace when you can throw a couple more sticks in the wood stove.
  19. Lucky still north of the pike isn't around. I can only imagine how he would twist that post.
  20. Sucks there's no real torch though. I mean if it's not going to snow it might as well be warm.
