A guy I golf with lost almost three of his toes to a lawn mower (not the guy pictured). He was 10 and pushing up a hill and it rolled back on him. His mother ran out in a panic and poured rubbing alcohol on it. I don't blame her but they couldn't reattach the toes because of it.

Looks like pignut. I personally don't like this stuff. It doesn't split. If they grow straight they're actually a beautiful tree. Bright yellow in the fall.

I'm beginning to tire of the Abenaki rain dances. I would try to get him blocked but likely a losing cause. Maybe go over his head. Is that Randy guy still in charge? He seemed reasonable.

Been an unbelievable year for plant growth. Maybe a perfect combination of rain and sun? Picture from yesterday in my lower "field". The invasives are going to start taking down trees.
