I read a paper that Paul Roundy had shared in the last couple of years that discussed any known global impacts. Like you said, a lot if it has to be pieced together from written records from individuals in parts of the world in that time frame & then the rest from reanalysis. If I can find the paper I will share it.

That El Nino was something! That potential has to at least be considered possible.

Hopefully not a bunch of "almost no cigar" situations. Very frustrating

Blaming Trump for the El Nino is about as stupid as Trump taking credit for no hurricanes. Just stupid! If we went net zero 10 yrars ago we'd still have this Super El Nino. 10 years didn't do it.

JMA seasoal will produce its first winter forecast this month. Last year it came out September 9th. So sometime over the next 5-10 days. https://ds.data.jma.go.jp/wmc/products/model/map/7mE/map1/pztmap.php

Don't use tropical tidbits for Cansips. Its 2m Temp maps are off bad. Like its not what Cansips really has. Look at the difference in tropical tidbits Jan compared with another site. I am not sure what Cansips forecasted for August but 500mb is not terrible

Yes. I never had an issue at 33andrain, WXSPHERE, or WXdisco. I will try another method. Screenshot is just fast for me...no biggie. Now I know

Should not be in 2026. There are forums that you can share multiple images like those. But I will use imgur from now on.

Yea, pretty generous for a super nino. I'd be estatic if that occurred.
