Good, it makes up for all of the times the last several years, and throughout history, they didn't even bother measuring events less than an inch. They took a lot of heat early in the season for the BS low measurements, seems like they've gotten on top of it the last three events, if you can call them that.

Those people should look at a map. If you use geography as the guideline nothing in New York state would be considered Mid Atlantic. Maybe extreme southern Jersey and Southern most Pennsylavania you could make the argument.
-
7am measurement 1.3 inches, 23.2 for the season. Snow cover now for 30 days this season so far. Temperatures normal or a little below for two months, as much as some complain, and rightfully so in many areas, I don't have much of a problem with this winter so far.
-
1.1 inches seasonal total to 23.0 even. Two straight weeks of snow cover so I shouldn't complain.
-
The dryness is getting annoying, and dangerous too. We need precip.
-
Low of 2 above this morning. Broke the consecutive nights of 0 or below. To bad tonight looks like it will be close.

From the sample of comments the last day we have finally entered the age of snowdeprivation insanity for those in the city south and east.
-
Not sure what area you're referring to but most of the area not much north and west of the city saw a widespread 5-8 inches four days ago. It's a big area.

I think it depends where you live. In a more urban setting I get the hatred it's a pain in the ass, disrupts everything and usually looks like shot after a couple of days. In less crowded suburban or rural settings there's nothing like it. I judge my winter grades more by how many days of snow cover I have than by what falls in total.

5 above now, -8 and -6 the last two morning. Looks like a repeat coming up.

My wife had RSV last year and for a couple of days it was pretty scary. Fever over 104, I took her to emergency. Once they got her to 102 with fever reducers they let her go. We were there maybe 5 hours. It took her a good two to three weeks to fully recover and she's active, athletic, eats well and all that. You should probably see a doctor tomorrow just to find out.

Well That's not promising. Maybe we can break the norm this year.
-
It looks like Sunday we're back in the 30s and pretty consistently so for the 10 days after. I can live with that, would rather not see 40s though. In an ideal world I would hold those off until March.

Looks like -8° will do it for my low this morning. My coldest reading since the -11° of February 14, 2016.
-
-8° in Highland Mills in Orange County 50 miles north of Midtown. lots and lots of double digit below zero readings in Northwest and north of the city this morning
-
Bottomed out at -8°. Beat yesterday mornings -6°. Seeing more double digit below zero around the county this morning.
-
-6 Highland Mills NY. Double digit below zeros already all over the LHV and NWNJ. Still three hours until dawn.
-
-6 in Highland Mills. There will be double digit below zeros all over the lower Hudson Valley and NW NJ by dawn. There are already several popping up.
-
3 above. Should be able to make a run at yesterdays -6.
-
Wasn't it -14° in Sparta this morning. Maybe not a record for the day but impressive.

I would agree. There have been numerous March storms with 10+ surrounding the park since 1993, and they've come within 1.5-2.5 inches 3 times in the last 10 years.
-
March 21, 2018 was the closest at 8.4 inches. March 1-2, 2009 at 8.3. The March 14 2017 you reference was 7.6, March 5 2015 was 7.5 Those four are the closest to cracking 10 inches in March since the superstorm of 93.
-
You're thinking of the November 15, 2018 storm of 6.4 inches which is on the list at No. 162. The April 2, 2018 storm they measured 5.5 in the Park, the same at LGA, JFK was less 3.7.
