  1. I'm growing many herbs and vegetables as usual. This year we have a new plant in the garden. We have 4 (both have cards) beautiful cannabis plants. One is about 7 foot tall and 5 feet wide. I have 2 that are 4 weeks into flower and are holding up great to the humidity and rain. No mold. I was curious if anyone else is taking advantage of the new law?

  2. Definitely going to be smokey today, but not from wildfires lol. This has been a ugly stretch of pool weather. Our pool is stuck at 74 and it's in full sun all day. 74 is cold enough to turn the kids lips blue, and mine.

Storms moving over the core of the worst drought conditions on the Drought Monitor map. Every little bit helps.

Yup. Tropical rain and rumbling of thunder. Perfect summer afternoon.

LWX discussion of thunderstorms in a nutshell:  today east of I-95; Saturday west of blue ridge.  The Drought of '23 rolls on

Seems like the drought is becoming more focused in North Central MD. East of 95 is pretty much caught up. Up here in Carroll County it's super dry. We missed everything this week. I drove through part of AA County last week during the storms and their was serious flooding. Drought, over there.

Oooh good point on the car filters.  Oh and new drought map still reflects severe -- I bet my little micro-desert qualifies as extreme as I've had less than 1.5 for June

I can confirm. It's a dust bowl here in the high desert of Carroll County. AA county is a swamp. This map might need Mappy help lol

I’d feel pretty good i95 east. Little more questionable further west, but the storms are clearly just getting going, so I’m keeping the hope alive. Just had one pop up cell nearby.

I'm out in Hagerstown and we just got nailed with blinding rain and wind strong enough to rock my pickup truck pretty hard. Look out to the east.

Middle of a drought or the middle of a snowstorm, Easton gets rain.  #blessed

I love your screen name lol. I had basically the same climo my entire life. Now I'm in on a ridge in Carroll County.

I'm seeing the first towers of the season to my south. I'm hopeful for pop up this evening.

The dryness will continue, but so will the nice weather with normal to below normal temps and comfortable dewpoints.

I'm down at OC staying on 94th street. This area is pretty green and swampy. We got hit hard with multiple rounds of storms yesterday afternoon. The wind was ripping across the bay during one of the strongest storms. Cool to see since I haven't seen anything interesting in months.

We had our TTs on Saturday and it went really well.  Only swam our team as we have like 150+ swimmers.  Its stupid huge.  I think we had over 20 heats of free alone.  But somehow we got that done in like 45 min and only took 3 hours to get completely done.  We even had new S&Ts doing it with plenty of DQs so not like it went smooth.

But its a crammed two months.  B meets already starting tonight and then the grind sets in.  We will have the usual pep rallies and team events and themes for each A meet.  Getting enough people to volunteer can still be a chore.  I had to pull people from the crowd for second shift timers cause people just don't sign up to help.  Well if I gotta stand and time your kid then you can help stand and time your kid and mine.  But some people are fun to be around and as long as you make it fun for others you can slog thru the long meets and hot days.

And also destroy a diet with all the food you need to cram in during meets to live.  Donuts, burgers, pizza.  RIP my diabeetus, cholesterol and clothes.

This was my life as a kid. Ahhh.. Saturday morning swim meets we're the best. Home meets we're my favorite. Done by noon and pool rest of the day.

Only down to 44.2 here (been in 40's all week for lows), but close by there were upper 30's around 7-8 am.

46 here. Seems like more mixing at higher elevations because it's colder in the valleys around me then here at 900+ feet.

Up way too early on a Sunday, but it’s Mini-Map’s dance recital day (my first as a paid studio employee too!)

Before I go, please help me wish @H2Oa very happy birthday! Happy birthday my friend!

0.35" total between the showers yesterday morning and last night.

It poured here for over an hour. I estimate we got probably a half inch or a little more. Nice surprise soaker for my "tomato plants" lol

Forecast here has increased rain totals for tomorrow- up from a tenth or less to as much as a half inch now. CAMs seem to be more west with moisture from the coastal, while globals are generally further east/drier. Also looks like an opportunity for some scattered showers with the frontal passage, mainly along/east of I-95. My money is on  a quarter inch or less  through Sunday.

Nothing in my point and click up this way. Thick fog out there this morning. The ground dried out fast from the last rain we had. I've been running sprinklers on my potato crop this week.

steadier rain congealing over NE Maryland and below I-95 in DE

Looks like this area may get lucky.  Plants are happy.

My plants are happy here in Carroll County. Nice steady rain most of the day here. Only 63

Looking at the radar this morning it appears that the rain showers are further north in Pennsylvania I thought that the models yesterday were depicting most of the rainfall being forced to the South but generally less overall.

Yup. Growing season is here lol. I have a feeling it's going to be a very dry warm season.

    Sprinkle and warm. 67

Many years ago I felt that way about lightning.

My best advice is be careful what you wish for! ;)

Bro? You finally got struck? Awesome lol

I've come within 100' of a strike about 5 times in my life. I've witnessed 3 stress being hit. I was skateboarding on a golf course path when I was 17 and the tree next to it was struck and the power knocked me off my skateboard. I've always been into weather so every strike I've witnessed was awesome lol. I even saw a lightning bolt during a snowstorm. I saw a house in Cape May NJ get hit and catch fire right in front of me. I've been nearly hit by trees blowing down. I have lots of experiences.
