Replacing Yanda is impossible, but I didn't expect the drop off to be as significant as it has. Yesterday was a debacle. Defensively, they could use a pass rusher, but not sure there is anyone out there that they can afford/is an upgrade.(Suggs is out there) Totally agree on WR, and I have been saying this since the offseason. The Ravens have no big bodied targets who Lamar can throw downfield to and trust to make the contested catch. Boykin could be that guy, but he has not impressed at all so far. Wouldn't be surprised if they end up signing Antonio Brown if the passing game cant develop downfield with what they have on the roster. Also, Roman is getting a lot of heat from the fanbase, and I think it is probably happening internally as well at this point. His play calling has been a head scratcher, to put it nicely.

They wont beat the Steelers with the OL playing like is has been- not against that defense. Lucky for the Ravens, they have a bye this week, so they have time to try and fix some issues, then we will see if they can compete with the Steelers. All the pundits thought the Browns could, and they got destroyed.

They could have had 23. When you are down 17-0 early it doesn't make sense to go for 2. But yeah I get that is part of what they do, and you never know how the game is going to evolve.

Defense was lucky early in the game. Big plays were there but the Eagles just managed to miss them all. This is not a dominant defense. They are solid, but gamble a lot to get pressure. Not so much today as the Eagles OL is putrid. Offense hasn't played a smooth game yet. OL is terrible, and Roman has no clue. Wait until they start playing real teams.

Eagles should try kicking extra points once in a while. Game would have been tied.

Ravens OL continues to be a mess. Really a disaster today. Ridiculous amount of penalties and still not opening up many running lanes, They better get it fixed or they won't be winning these games against the better teams.

Yeah i mentioned this in the other thread a couple days ago. Even though it lost the HL 'help' for the winter months, the Pacific is decent enough(specifically EPO) to probably give us some cold air delivery at times. Still plenty of time for that idea to fall apart.

I am sure there is some frost out in the open areas around here, but tucked back in the woods it's 37. The trees radiate a decent amount of heat still. Too bad the air mass wasn't a bit drier.

Yeah I would think so. You don't want it too wet, but if its too dry(like last year) the trees get stressed and drop bunches of leaves early. Normal precip during the summer and then somewhat dry for early Fall is probably ideal, along with seasonable weather. Need those chilly nights.

Significant HL blocking can mitigate a lot of bad elsewhere. Unfortunately we are on a bad run in that dept. I suppose we are due.

You aren't missing anything. Probably another 200" over the next few months. Take a trip at the wrong time living here and you may miss the one and only winter storm..

Looking at the latest LR global means, some significant changes up top. Lots of blue, and CFS weeklies continue that through November. The -NAO period was possibly just a transitional thing. The CFS run of indicating HL help for the winter months seems to have finally ended. Its h5 depiction for DJF aligns with most other climate/seasonals now. Has a +AO/NAO throughout. The mean EPAC ridge location/orientation could be worse though. Actually has hints of an EPO ridge, esp for late winter. fwiw.
