Eastern areas ended up with the latter(closer to 12 in most cases) due to the dry slot from hell and nothing from the deform band. I had 15 here. Still a nice storm, and I had one other minor event that winter, so ended up right around average. The overall warmth was hard to take though.

Sounds like a reference to the electrical grid in the South central/ SE US. https://www.serc1.org/about-serc A bit odd to use that in the context of a weather outlook.

Maybe a heavy rain threat this weekend with strong low pressure moving to our NW and an impressive moisture feed into our region. Really need a widespread soaker.

"Always a surprise under an upper low". Your area is one of the few 'haves' with this one. My sis lives in Glyndon and had a hell of a hailstorm, after getting some heavy rain this morning.

Looks like an in-between fail here. Nice convection firing just to my northeast in N central DE, and the stuff to the west looks like it will miss to my NW. That 3/4" deluge a week ago Thursday is a distant memory. Dry as a bone with the +15 to 20F departures, wind, and relatively low humidity of late. Only good news is skeeters have no chance to get going. Been many years since my seasonal wetland was this dry in Spring.

I'm with ya. Doing some outside projects now and I am not crazy about the late June temps and humidity. I will gladly take typical early April weather for the end of the month. If it ends up on the wet side, can't complain about that either. We will be in bad shape if we don't get some rain over the coming weeks. Beyond that we depend largely on scattered convection for moisture.

My sister sent me a vid of the hailstorm at her house near Reisterstown. Pretty intense. Nothing here. Super nice day with lots of puffy clouds and some mini towers, but no precip.

Most of the concern is because peeps don't want to have to water plants/lawns lol. I am good with abnormally dry in the early Spring. Wetland never really got wet this year- just some spotty, very shallow areas so it was an easy(and cheaper) job to larvicide. With the early heat and leaf out, that area will be completely dry in no time.

I have a lot of mulched areas too, since grass is largely a fail in the woods here. I pick away at it- starting in December after leaf removal. I just finished a couple weeks ago. I like getting most of it done during our 'cold' season.
