  1. I feel like you are referring to a bonafide snow storm....IMHO the notion of a front end inch or two that won't get totally wiped out is pretty plausible.
  2. I agree with your post. And I honestly feel as though you are just someone who genuinely enjoys pleasant weather. I feel like Mike (Forky) just likes to neeedle people endlessly. Bit of a difference...is he doing anything "wrong", per se...no. Being a jerk isn't a crime.
  3. Wilmington spent a lot more time above freezing than I did...it was still like 37 there just prior to dawn, where as I was back below freezing just after midnight
  4. Hit 35.1, but once the cf swung back through at midnight, I was back down near 30 and it got icy. Another half inch of snow on backside near dawn.
  5. This maybe the first time I have beaten you in an event since moving here over 3 years ago.
  6. Happy with this last event. 1.5" Final snow/sleet total....got another .5" of fluff on top of the ice this AM. Looks like xmas.
  7. The xmas eve/xmas deal looks a lot like this event to me on guidance...TBH, I would take a repeat. Even if I just grab an inch and then stay relatively cold...take.
  8. Man, guidance looks like the exact, same rain/snow line for the xmas eve/xmas deal....
  9. I actually underestimated snowfall here a bit measuring on paved walkway. I got an inch of snow/sleet....cf has slipped back through and down to 30.7 and pouring sleet...icing over. Still snow covered..high was 35.1 before coastal front slipped back through at midnight and it began dropping.
  10. Well, to be fair, it's a one day snapshot that isn't very representative of the period, as evidenced by that second image.
  11. There is a reason we can all name the same 5 posters who do it...that isn't a coincidence.
  12. He just loves to "poke the hornet's nest", as you say.....constantly.
  13. That jives with NWS more....not cold by any stretch, but not balmy.
  14. Funny bc I don't really care, anyway..not like there is a pack to protect.
  15. Nothing. Clearly there is some support for a mild xmas, but like I said, I don't think Xmas is going to be in the 50's here. If it is, by all means, I'll give him kudos. NWS does not think it will either, for whatever a day 7 point and click is worth.
  16. The REAL mets...who, you know...are working meteorologists, think it will be near normal with mixed rain and snow showers.
  17. What is the big deal? Here is my forecast Christmas Day A chance of rain and snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 40. West wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?x=193&y=67&site=box&zmx=&zmy=&map_x=193&map_y=67#.Yb6QR2RKh-U
