    A little...not much....it took it from like 16" to 19". But the swath of well over a foot extended back to the SW to ORH. Agree on the bolded...this is what I envision.

    Ironic that the models which compromise the integrity of the SW the most at this point had modeled the most phased solutions originally. I think this speaks to the inability of the CMC and UK to sufficiently resolve this complex interaction and is why I have summarily dismissed them both as viable guidance with respect to this event for now.

    If we had a big NAO block in place, then the 16th could be very formiddable. Shit like this is why the NAO is important....its not the governing force that some make it out to be, but its something you def want on your side.

    That run reminded me of 12/9/05 in that the banding was so tightly compact to the low pressure area.
